I purchased this battery box to hold a 24-F size battery from a Toyota Camry that I had replaced. I needed a box for the battery to take it with me camping and hook up a power inverter for a power source. The box fits perfect and has small handle areas on the side. There is also vents on top in case the battery gets warm.

This box works exactly as you would expect. There isn't much to say about a battery box other than it's secure and the lid snaps on nicely. The template provided for the strap brackets was not accurate but that was an easy fix on my install -- make sure you measure if installing on a boat or something where drilling holes is a factor. The strap took me longer to figure out than I'd care to admit but is well designed and easy to use once you figure it out.

Because it has vent holes in the top...and not just the sides, it tends to collect water. It is best to drill a couple of drain holes in the bottom (it doesn't come with any). Durable enough, but the retention strap has plastics buckles and doesn't work well.

I have these in my boat and I figured they would be a good application for my trailer. I have a hydraulic dump trailer that contains a battery with the hydraulics. I found myself and my guys would occasionally cause some short circuit sparks when we would put our chains/straps in the hydraulic bin for storage just from not being careful. This took the full size car battery and no contains it/shields it to prevent this from happening. The plastic is very durable. Trailer manufacturers should put these in all of their setups.
