My husband got this from an Eagle Scout, who swore to it's authenticity. He loves it and spiced it up a little with red pepper flakes and also added a table spoon of corn starch to thicken it. I think its a little too salty, but the favor is very good. Definitely better than anything on store shelves.

I've used this chili mix for years. The first time I tried it was when the owner was at the local farmer's market (she lives near my hometown). I've been hooked ever since. I'm not a big fan of spicy hot chili because I believe the hotness overpowers the actual taste of the chili. Cin Chili gives us a perfect blend of spice. The mix is actually difficult to find in my area (sells out quickly), so I just ordered it from Amazon. From my experience, shelf life in not an issue. The packages are sealed very well. The last package I used was over a year old and it was still great. I'll make a batch of chili and what we don't eat I'll freeze. Later on, we'll use it for chili dogs or frito pie.

This is really good chili mix. I did thicken it with 2 Tbsp's of corn starch at the end as this is a less thick chili (more suited to a bowl) if cooked according to instructions. I am still looking for perfection, but this is a nice stop along the way. Don' know if there is a better one, but I like this better than Carroll Shelby's or Wick Fowlers, or any of the even lower quality stuff like McCormick's. My search for a quick simple and delicious chili mix goes on, but I will be happy with this as well. I do recommend this.
