Bought this to find out why my check engine light was on. Had already made an appointment with the mechanic, but, it was a few days out. When I received the unit I plugged it into the car, and within a couple of minutes, I had the answer and realized it was a simple problem I could resolve myself. (EGR solenoid). Besides just giving me the code, it had 4 specific diagnostic tests for the failing component, two of which were failing. After replacing the component on the car, all tests were passing, giving me confidence in the repair. There are similar tests viewable for all the components on the car. Worth the few extra bucks to get something that does more than just give you the code. Easily paid for itself on first use.

Basically Hybrid system failure error . Paid $80 at local AUTOBACS to check and confirmed weaken hybrid battery.
But hybrid system failed again after 2weeks and other car shops quoted $80-$120 just to reset the MIL error.
Found this tiny mighty on Amazon. Plug & play . Pressed Erase error code - MIL error + Hybrid system error disappeared!!
Hope this scanner is durable enough and can last for years. will also test / check on two other cars.
Only issue is the thin menu book lacking info with instructions for the scanner.
