15 Oz Aerosol Satin Gloss Level Matches factory finish on many automotive exterior trim components. No primer needed for adhesion. SEM Trim Paint Surface Preparation: Wash the part thoroughly with 39362 SEM Soap. Clean with good quality Grease and Wax remover such as SEM 38373. Sand with 400 grit sandpaper and reclean with G&W remover. Mask off all areas not to be coated to protect from overspray. Apply light mist coats evenly allowing 5-10 minutes between coats. Several thin coats are better than 1 heavy coat. Salesman Note: Don't rush to install the part. Trim Paint adhesion improves with time. Full hardness and maximum adhesion should be obtained in about 48 hours. Warning: This product can expose you to chemicals which is [are] known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

I've used SEM products for decades, starting as a professional auto detailer. Their products and dyes are second to none. It's not just regular spray paint. SEM Trim Black is formulated for black plastic and it works phenomenally well. Adheres and bonds uniquely to plastic. I applied it to black trim that was starting to turn grey and show sun fade problems. After application of SEM Trim Black, it looks like factory new. I even applied it to some hard to navigate areas using a sponge applicator. Not ideal, but it still worked super well. Highly recommend. Surface must be clean and grease free. Those greasy silicone coating or trim dressings will never last. This stuff is the real deal. More work than wipe-on gloss shine stuff, but this SEM product will actually FIX the problem instead of glossing it over for a week or two.
