    Finally !! A tailgate assist for the Tundra. And of course by a very reputable company. From the 1st day I got my '15 Tundra, I complained about the tailgate assist not working. Dealer said "The shock assist is in the drivers rear taillight, we can get one for $116 with $175 labor". Yeah, all set !! Search and found nothing until I came across this shock. There are plenty out there but most said "does not fit you '15 Tundra. Well this one did, does and works flawlessly. Took a total of 10 minutes to install and it does the job. Great Price !! Highly recommend. Thank you Rough Country

    I have a 2020 Tundra, thought it would be a good idea to bolster the factory tailgate assist by adding this. It makes a difference for sure but I’m probably going to buy another one so both sides of the tailgate share the weight instead of just one.

    Little difficult to install. Had to sand down ball on top receiver for it to fit. Even so still wouldn’t clip in. It’s on there and working so not a big deal but would have been a little better if the receiver was the correct size. Mind you, these pieces came in the same kit.
