Howdy y’all. Got an interesting observation that I’ll probably take a trip to my dealer for, but that’s gonna wait until next week. I originally had an issue where my exhaust clamps came loose from rompin my truck through the desert, lost some mpg’s, tightened em back up, and then the mpg’s got better. The other day, I hit a pretty rough patch on the freeway and they came loose again. Mpg’s got worse, tightened em back up, but the mpg’s are still a tiny bit worse and torque is still a little lacking. Nothing crazy, but slightly lacking. I ordered some permatex ultra copper and new exhaust clamps that’ll get here tomorrow as a bandaid fix (hopefully permanent) before I go on a trip this weekend but I have a feeling the connection between the turbo and cat/downpipe is maybe a bit loose. I was able to look at the fuel trims while driving, and got a screenshot while I was stopped (engine was turned off, so it’s only long term fuel trim showing up):

It looks like the passenger side bank is running a tiny bit leaner than the drivers side. That was the side of my exhaust that came loose so that’d make sense. When the truck was running, sometimes the short term fuel trims would match, but more often than not, bank 1 was a little bit lower fuel trim (like 1-2 degrees lower). Also, FWIW, I checked cat sensor temps and there was no temperature differential at the cat air temp sensors. My questions are: (1) am I just over analyzing? (2) does my train of thought pointing to turbo - cat connection being at fault make sense? And (3) am I dumb and just missing another loose connection?
Thanks for listening to (reading) my ted talk!
