Looking for JBL tweeters

Hi all. Does anyone have the factory jbl tweeters for sale? Mine were missing from day one and it's about time I get it done.

 

Ok, I gotta ask, if they were missing why not get it corrected under warranty?
Either way there were enough people in on the group buy that someone will have a set to get rid of.

 

I don’t have any but I’d like to know what size they are if someone knows.

I have all the JBL speakers from my truck. For the tweeters youd need to do some wiring and soldering

 

It’s a good thing I can solder. Pudge, what have you done to upgrade your audio?

 

I have replaced all my speakers and sub through group buys fron James @tech12volts
Infinity dash corners, dual JL tweeter center channel, Hertz k170 components in the doors and a JBL 10 inch sub and box. Huge improvement with the stock head unit. I'm looking now to replace my head unit and wire in an amp. Head units and harnesses and interfaces are just so damn expensive.

Yea I know. I can’t believe the system blows on this truck. Did you like the k170 speakers? Did you notice a difference?

I asked about why the k170s being 4 ohm would work on our 2ohm system but never heard back from tech12.

 

I had no speakers at all, I bought the jbl speakers from someone on here. I will post a picture if the tweeter connection on mine

 

Do you only need the front teeeters? I upgraded all my speakers from the groupbuy so if you want them I can send it your way for $20 shipped if your in the US. PM if you want them.

This is the wiring on mine, what do I have to do?

 

Yeah I like them a lot. They seem to pair well with our amp. They dont have that overwhelming amount of bass coming from the doors anymore. Much better mid level sound and its much cleaner.

 

That looks like someone had aftermarket speakers and just removed them when they sold the truck. Those barrel connectors were added by the previous owner

 

Here is what I have. If anyone wants any of these speakers just let me know. The tweeters and dash speakers will need to have new lead wires soldered to them. The front tweeters should plug into factory JBL wiring , the rear tweeters will not because I utilized the plug as a jumper for my new speakers. I have the OEM tweeter plugs that could be soldered to speaker wire if anyone wants any of these.
Disclaimer...One of the rear 6.5" speakers sounded kinda crappy, not sure of it was a wiring issue or a blown speaker. The other speakers are all good with no issues.

For the the tweeters what does the oem plug look like?

 

Its a small white connector that plugs to the back of the tweeter. I'll try to find a pic.

 

This white plug would be wired to those blue and green wires in the pic youposted, then plug into the female plug in the back of the front tweeters. I cut the plug off and wired my front tweeters to those blue and green wires.

 

Wire looks pretty short, I can give it a try, how much for the fronts with the plug?
