I don’t have this issue either with my 2018 stock Tundra. And I already put 10,000 miles on it.

I’ve had my 2018 Tundra in the shop twice now for the PCS sensor. The 1st time they replaced it. The problem with the sensor actually got worse. It turns on and off everyday no matter the weather. I’m at the dealership today 2/21/2019 and the service department just informed me that Toyota has now admitted that there is a problem with the sensor and they don’t have a fix for it at this time. There’s really nothing they can do at this point until Toyota comes up with a fix. This has just been more of a nuisance than anything. Still the best truck I’ve ever owned. I’m confident that Toyota will figure this out.

Got the same answer that Chris57 got the last time my light came on, last fall in the rain. Only time it would come on was in the rain while driving on the highway.... Until 2 days ago when it came on a couple of hours after I took it to get washed. Never had an issue with the wash before, just went over 20 k. Did the old turn truck off turn truck back on trick and light went out...until this morning after sitting in the driveway for a solid day and light was on at up on/off trick tried 5 times at multiple times during drive to work, light is still on. This will be second sensor replacement for me.

Update to yesterday’s post. Truck sat all day at work front end pointed I to the sun. Started up to go home, light went out after all the self check lasted about 10 seconds and came back on. On/off had no effect. Got it home parked it for the night, this morning started up no light. Made it all the way to work so far no issues today. Still have an appointment for Wednesday for them to look at it. Gal I have been dealing with at my dealership has been very up front with info and admitting Toyota has no idea how to fix this. I will mention that the first time they replaced the sensor. The dealership was out front f loaner vehicles so they paid for a rental. I ended up with some Nissan car and as I was driving to work in the rain IT HAD THIS SAME ISSUE! The PCs light came on and when I got to work the on/off trick worked. Maybe all the auto companies are using the same sensors from one manufacturer like the Takata air bags?

SPECIAL SERVICE CAMPAIGN K0B (Remedy Notice) - Certain 2018 – 2019 Model Year Tacoma and Tundra - Millimeter Wave Radar Sensor
    Status
    Remedy Available
    Description
The involved vehicles are equipped with a Pre-Collision System (PCS) that may automatically apply the brakes if the system detects a potential collision. Due to the mounting of one of the system’s sensors, it is possible for water to enter the sensor. This can lead to PCS deactivation or inadvertent brake activation resulting in limited deceleration for a short duration of time.
    Remedy
Any authorized Toyota dealer will update the PCS software and apply sealer to the millimeter wave radar sensor in the front grille. In the rare case that the vehicle is currently exhibiting the condition, dealers will diagnose the sensor and replace the sensor, as necessary, FREE OF CHARGE.

Hopefully the dealership can get this issue resolved.

Any owners have good luck with the recall fix?

Mine was apparently just software. After the dealer "reflash" no more false alarms. Unit does occasionally disable in heavy rain.

Was it an easy in and out fix or one of those drop it off deals?

I dropped it off late afternoon because I didn't have time to wait.
It was ready the next morning.

My PCS off light turned on randomly this morning while driving to work in a light rain. I've had the truck for 10 days and it has 809 miles on it. It's a 2019 SR5 TRD off-road Crewmax.

There’s a recall to have the dealer do some work to fix the sensor. You’ll probably get a letter in the mail sometime.

Dealership had to order a part into mine. 2500 miles in and I’m starting to see the light more often. Hopefully the next visit fixes the problem.

I posted this in another thread.. but I thought I would share here as well.

I took my 2018 SR5 in yesterday for 10K oil change and inspection. Two recall notices show up. One is a software update to read the rear O2 sensor correctly. The other was to check the wave radar sensor. I have had zero issues with mine to date. Apparently, there is a sealant issue and typically they apply additional sealant and that is the repair. However, the second repair s to replace the sensor if it shows any signs of water penetration. Of course, mine does. And also, of course, they do not stock it, so it has to be ordered. I guess we will see if this makes things better or worse. As I said, to date I have had zero malfunctions.

I took mine in today for the K0B recall and the dealership said they weren't going to do anything because of my lift kit. Waiting on a response from Toyota corporate now...

This is the official statement from Toyota on modified vehicles:

I am a certified Toyota tech and have done a ton of the K0B recalls already.

So are you doing the recalls if the truck is modified or no?

I personally am not if it's modified because I don't want the liability.

I would not if no issues, but screwed eventually. When you go in with it modded, doesn’t matter lifted, switched to 19 Pro grille, or have a relocation kit to run an older Pro grille, Toyota is being deceptive, when the mods are noted, warranty on the system is void unless returned to as built at the factory so this recall can be applied. The value of these trucks takes a huge hit without this recall, and can’t be resold at a dealer till remedied.

Mine is scheduled Monday. Asked the service advisor if they were not doing the recall because of mods and he said no. We'll see Monday morning. I don't plan on selling my truck in the next 20 years.

Dealership took care of both recalls this morning. They put the sealer over the sensor mounted on ares relocation bracket.

I got mine back from the dealer and now I can’t leave my city lights on and just have it turn off when I arm the truck. It beeps and stays on as if I had the lights on.

    Does anyone have this issue?

Brand new 2019 Crewmax was fine until today when I installed 6112's up front. Now every single system is showing a malfunction, including ABS, 4WD, traction control and all the TSS features. I figured I'd have problems with the sensors but wasn't expecting all the other stuff. Any ideas?

Wow that makes me nervous, as I'm about to put on 6112s up front. What height did you put it at? It may just need to be recalibrated by Toyota.

1.9" I left the rear alone. It sits just a tad above level in the front but it should in perfectly.

Thanks. Maybe that might be the root of your problem then. When you lose that rake, things go haywire. I'm going to do the 1.3 inch set up, and hope for the best!
