Does anyone know the percentages of light transmission that come on factory glass?

I believe it is 20% for ALL windows (EXCEPT the fronts).

i know for a fact that its not 20%. 20% is illegal in many states. its close to the % that i added to my front windows which was 34%.

Back to the OP. If you are referring to the non tinted factory glass then i think its around 75%. the tinted factory glass on the rear window and rear side windows is around 32%.

In Nebraska, the Fronts are 35% and the rear/back are 20%
In Texas, the Fronts are 25%, Rear are 25%, Back can be as dark as 0%. My cousin lives in Houston and he put a cardboard on the back of his Excursion for years and no problems.

Any window tinting shop has a gauge; they can measure the tint percentage for you.

18% here and I also think it's a perfect match. Anywhere around that range should be good.

I went with 15% and to me looks dead on at the fronts. Cant tell a difference. Very happy (but yes, illegal)

Just got the wifes 4Runner Tinted not long ago. Went with the 3M FX Premium Automotive Window Film.
They said that the front would need to be FX-PM 30 to match the rear.
We ended up adding FX-PM 15 to the front and FX-PM 30 to the rear. It is a close match between front and back. Rear might be a little darker.

This would be the same or very close for the Tundra.

My front (side) window is tinted to just under 30 and it's definitely lighter than the rear (side) window.

I just had my 2017 Tundra front windows tinted to match the back and they used 18%
Thinking about adding 35% to the back windows to make them a little darker than the front.

good info to know. I've got my 05 Tundra to do, and 99 4runner to re-do in the front. (microscopic bubbles and whatnot....i think a previous owner was a smoker...ash burnt holes in the tint)

Keep in mind, if you match the exact tint percentage for the front windows it can still look lighter than the rear windows with all the light coming in from the windshield.

I had 20% put on the front of my old Tundra and it looked like it matched perfectly, but was actually a little darker.

I had originally done 30 on the front windows and the specific tint didn’t work with my glasses it was causing some really bad scewing. When I went back to switch brands we went to 20 and the. Also did 50 on the windshield and it was perfect. Helped cut the glare on headlights at night time driving so incredibly much
