I installed a set of 2019 trd pro head lights in a 2017 trd pro. But now the truck has hyper flash with the 2019 blinker bulbs is this a common issue?

I dont know much about the 2019 pro headlights but if the blinker is an LED, then yes it is common and easiest way to correct is to install a resistor

Rewire your turn signal plug, move the white black wire from center location to the violet wire location, remove violet wire completely from plug and cover it with electrical tape.

This is taken from a older thread about this headlights

The harness is plug and play for 1794/Platinum models, you only have to switch pins in turn signals this is really simple with a small flat head screw driver remove the white tab locking pins in the turn signals socket, with the screw driver push down the little tabs keeping terminals in place and pulling gently the wire from back all this at the same time, then move your white/black stripped wire from center location (Pin #2) to the outer pin (Pin #1) see pictures below.

    1. With a small flat screw driver remove white plastic cover (do this process in both driver and passenger side)

    2. Using the flat screw driver push down the locking clip while pulling wire from back at the same time

    Plug original wire location

After you rewired plug must look like this, don't forget to reuse the black rubber cavity plug in center location

Yes but SR5 and other trims with Amber DRL have a extra violet wire this wire must be taken off the plug to avoid back feeding to other lightning circuits.

Thank you very much. I was no aware this was needed to be done, I assume it was just a quick plug and play kind of thing.
We used the Headlight revolution one.

Thanks for your help. Can you advise which violet wire? There’s a lighter pinkish one and violet one. And do they have to be repined? Thanks 2F85A761-413E-4194-B737-60498E816027.jpg

Thxs for the reply and help iHacker. Finally got some time today to try this out and it didn’t work. I did however realize you’re the one that help me out last year with one of my projects and I purchased a harness from you. If you don’t mind, I’m going to write to you from that thread so you can see what I’m talking about and maybe are able to help
me better once you see what I’m trying to do now. Thxs

Not sure if this helps, but years ago when I put LED bulbs in my ranger, I had to get a different blinker relay that could handle the lower voltage, might be worth looking into, think it was like $5 from autozone or something.
