So I want and need to haul a Bobcat T190 track machine. Will the Tundra do it. Weight is around 12K with machine and trailer. Thanks.

Depending on your truck's equipment, I'm pretty sure your proposed tow is roughly 2000 pounds too heavy.

If it is a one time tow it can be done. I have done over the 10k rating and the truck did great! It’s not recommended but it can be done

There’s a code on the sticker that’s on your driver side door. On your owners manual under towing, look for the same code and it will tell you how much Your tundra can tow.

Possibly but it's over the limit...just be advised you could get pulled over by HP. I doubt they see many Tundra's pulling equipment.

So my sticker says: USK56L-PSTLKA. Looks like 16,000 Gross vehicle weight and 10,100 lbs max towing capacity. So.......dang it. 2,000 too much for the T190. Shoot, shoot, shoot. May have to buy a Dodge again.

Yep unfortunately that's more 3/4 ton territory. I wouldn't tow that with any 1/2 ton...rated rating or not.

Yeah I totally agree. I got rid of my Dodge 2500 because we weren't using it to tow anymore. I love my Tundra, but some things are coming up that require me to use a machine (davisdigsdirt on instagram and facebook). Also looking at getting a travel trailer again for the family. Well, see what happens. Maybe I can borrow a truck for now.

If that’s what your sticker says and you have tow package, 5.7L 4WD, than it’s 9000lbs max towing.

Got this of the 2012 owners manual.
Unless I’m looking at it wrong.

You are correct on all accounts. Thank you very much. I must have looked up the wrong year.

If you get a diesel keep your nice looking Tundra if it’s a possibility!

Why didn't you pull the Tundra with the Benz? I know that thing has the power.

We actually have 1 T190 at work but have not weighed it. We have several Cat 299d3's as that is what we run. They list an operating weight of 11,494 pounds but with a bucket they come in at 13k pounds on a scale that is calibrated to be within 10 lbs. I can tell you these skid steers are like our trucks. They weigh quite a bit more than advertised. They say operating weight, but not sure they are really counting fluids or any accessories. They are not counting any attachments either. By the time you account for that and a bucket, you are at 8,500 pounds + easily. Then the 400 pounds of mud and grime that gets cached in, haha. Add in your chains to tie down, few other things and you are at 11k probably. Those equipment trailers are usually pretty tongue heavy also and more there than you think. It would be a very sporty drive for any 1/2 ton truck.

Now if it was a one time thing where I rented the machine for a weekend and only driving a few miles, I might think about it.........

If those weights are correct, I would pull it. But that’s me. I have pulled as much through the mountains (gross combined just below 16k) without issue. Most will probably take an opinion to the contrary.

Thanks Knox, yeah didnt think of the bucket.. i have hauled my Bobcat 325 (todays E27) with No issues, but can feel the drag upon steep roads. Have bought a helper spring to beef up the rear end. May be will settle for a T110.
