Hi again. I am trying to figure out how to mount my front plate. I have an 00 and the Truck had two black plastic pieces to mount the front plate but the one is broken off. Does anyone have a part # or have an alternative solution for mounting the front plate?

I can take pictures of the non-broken piece tomorrow if needed. I cannot find anything online for the 1st gen trucks so I am not sure if its an OEM part or not.

Mine is screwed directly into the front bumper with two screws in the top. There were already holes and I went to the local hardware store and bought "special" license plate screws to mount it.

Toyota sells the bumper in two flavors: Chrome and unpainted. We don't ship either of them out due to shipping complications. You'd have to pick one up locally and have it painted.

Locally, being order at dealer and pick up from there? Do you happen to know the painted one part number?

    Correct.

Do you have a Limited? Is it a step side?

I purchased the the brackets using the part number provided by 3.4Tundra. Thank you for that.

What I cannot find in the thread or in pictures is how these two little pieces are supposed to mount to the front of my 2005 DC and hold the license plate. Would anyone mind showing me a picture of these two pieces mounted to the front of your truck? The help is appreciated.

Keep in mind there is a Left and a Right bracket..
I bought two of the same PN and had to slightly enlarge one hole on my license plate. It sits a little off center as well...:monocle:

I know this is not 'directly' related . . . but my front plate still had the dealer frame that looked janky, rattled, and scratched-up the paint behind it.
I wasn't into advertising for 'Toyota of Orange' anymore so after looking for a low key license plate frame I picked up one of these.
I'm really happy with it for such a dumb little addition. Your plate slips inside, similar to a cell phone case.

Sorry, just saw this.. Now I don't know what I ordered...? Mine were definitely different left to right when compared to the originals.

    Thanks
Thanks HBTundra. I can see the option of a silicone frame older being a little easier on the paint on the bumper. I'll give it a look. I have an Expedition and there is a prominent factory bracket. I was expecting that Toyota would have something similar for the first generation Tundra.

Raising the dead here. But I have been searching for a proper front licence plate mount as well. The two pieces that @3.4Tundra posted may be what is needed for the chrome or painted front steel bumper, or maybe they are for the plastic bumper. Then @N84434 said they are different left to right and sit crooked. Not sure what to order now.

I am glad that you resurrected this thread. I purchased these plastic mounts based on the part number above, but I could not figure out how they are to be installed. I would do well if anyone has a picture of their front license plate held in place with these mounting brackets.

I found a solution. My Volvo has a front licence plate bracket that I'm not using.

    PXL_20210905_192148172.jpg
I bent it to fit into lower grille.
    PXL_20210905_192740453.jpg
Removed the lower screws with a bench grinder.
    PXL_20210905_193930175.jpg PXL_20210905_194145999.MP.jpg
This is the hardware I found works best for the holes in the front bumper. You can get them at any auto parts store.
    PXL_20210905_194346471.jpg PXL_20210905_203654807.jpg
Finished product. Doesn't block the lower grille as much as it does when you mount the plate directly to the holes in the bumper. I was picturing it being mounted a little bit higher, but this is good for me.
