I usually drink a ton of water, but looking back I have slowed down...just busy and forgot I guess!
Walking the new pup when I can though!
At least when they knock you down, you know they have past. Did scare the dog !

I wish I could give all of you a big hug. Unless you've passed a stone...or 14....or have been stabbed repeatedly in the lower back, it's impossible to describe the pain we've endured.

Yeah, didn't really feel it initially. Just noticed my leg was unable to keep me up any longer. When we "stopped the action" I realized what had happened. That's when it started to hurt. And don't get me wrong, it hurt. A lot.

But that first time being pepper sprayed hurts more. Fire in your eyes, nose, throat, mouth and lungs. Unrelenting for at least 30 minutes.

And then the stone. I knew something was wrong when I stood up like I was stabbed in the ribs, immediately vomited, and assumed the fetal position.

I had a stone that would not pass. I drank about 8 beers one night and low and behold it got flushed out. True story and a solution I strongly recommend

Lost count after 12 so it’s just a waiting game for the next one. Won’t share the gory details from the last one, but holy shit! The only upside is I now recognize the signs since it is unique and I start with the ibuprofen. 800 mg every 4 hours till it passes. I run a crane so the good pills are last resort, but I always keep a backup supply that is well worth it when I miss that 4 hour window!

Yep...doubling my daily intake of water to 2 gallons now...

Fuck this shit. I never want a kidney stone. Been kicked in the nuts a couple times. That's bad enough.

THIS WAS 4TH TIME. #1 and 2 got removed by the doctor that went in the hard way to get them, much prefer passing them instead.

That big one looks horribly painful! Do you know what type of stones you produce? Sorry if I missed it
Amazing how something so small can cause the worst pains of our lives.

Used to pick up a roofer while riding the box about every summer with a kidney stone. Dude drank nothing but Gatorade. All those electrolytes weren't being expelled and would just build up. He would pass the stones and go right back at it. Refused to drink water...Cant fix tsupid.

I've had three so far.. One in 2003 that was a real pain all over and a trip to the ER. The second one came in March 2018 and I didn't even realize I had it until it made it's way(or tried to)make it's way out. The third one made its presence known two weeks before Christmas and stuck with me until the end of January. This last one was treated with OTC pain meds and Flomax and passed itself almost effortlessly. Not fun at all

    Still rolling stock baby....
    I have them 3 times.

First two were my right side, and I passed them no real big issues, just some mild pain and I drank a ton of water and bam over night they passed, I know this since I heard them hit the bowl, first time was one, second time was back to back dink dink sound....then sore for a couple days...

Now that sucker that got me last year landed me in the ER at 1am. Started the day before, pain in my stomach but not my back, then the next morning at work, stomach pain got bad so I left. Get home and bam I am on the ground in agony WTF..

Long story short, after not being able to drink anything all day and throwing up, I go to ER, get two lines started to get me hydrated, doc says I bet its kidney stones, give us some urine, LOL they got a drip, I had nothing to give, doc says that will do if there blood you are going to cat scan...yup off to cat scan, its a stone, doc gave me some good meds, got hydrated came home, went to bed, passed that sucker on Saturday...this all started on Friday..

    No more I am good..

I've been dealing with a serious medical issue for the last two years but after reading these posts I'm not sure I'd want to deal with kidney stones............

No kidney stones but I had shingles on my butt hole...no shit...and a triple freakin' bypass 3 months later. I thought I knew what pain was before the shingles then the bypass schooled me a second time. Turning 50 was hell...Wow, just dawned on me, that bypass was 4 years ago today!
