Why don't the 2016 Tundras have intermittent wipers. A buddy of mine has one and it doesn't and so does mine

If you want to add the feature all you have to do is replace the wiper control stalk with the intermittent version. Plug and play, steering wheel removal not required.

I believe this is what you'd need, but have that confirmed before ordering. You can contact @Roman, he's a site vendor and has great prices and service.

I still remember being shocked that my 2006 Tacoma wasn't factory equipped with intermittent wipers, was driving it home for the first time and it started to shower. A week later it had them.

    Is this an SR model?

I am surprised too, it seems like they would ALL have that.

I believe all SR5's do, where SR trim does not.

In my mind, it HAS to cost more to manufacture both and keep track of which truck gets which switch stalk. But what do I know?

It pauses between wiping. As opposed to just Hi and Lo speed.

Pretty sure it's not standard on the SR package, but like @landphil said you can add it with a new stalk

Makes it kind of tough when it starts raining while you're driving around town, doesn't it? Heck, with the same philosophy, I wouldn't have been able to drive anytime within the last couple of weeks.:eek2:

I survived for years in western Orygun without intermmitant wipers back in the 70's. My Jeep had vacuum wipers...now that sucked. 1st world issues....

I thought the same with two different back door cards. The SR5 is diff from the limited DC, and it is just molded differently so no cup holder or junk area.

I have a 2019 SR. I would like to have them but no really wanting to pull S/wheel. Are you sure about this?

Yup, I would trust @landphil info implicitly.

But, I don't see how it can be done without removing the wheel. Removing the steering wheel is easily done, and if necessary, worth it for intermittent wipers. There are threads on other forums, maybe youtube, and maybe here on removing the steering wheel, accessing spiral cable assembly, and stalk switch replacement. Just BE SURE to disconnect the battery and wait 30 minutes to disable the airbag in the steering wheel.

You just have to remove the upper and lower steering column covers (turn the steering wheel to access the two screws facing you) and then the stalk unscrews and comes off the side.

    It’s a philips #2 screwdriver and a 1/2 beer kinda job.

So far, Weather Tech Front mats and new FOB with auto start and key less entry.
Just now changed mine, Wiper switch just came in the mail. If you watch a YouTube video it was a piece of cake.
