Chrome Delete Covers for Tundra Bumpers - BumperShellz

So, did you guys all receive tracking numbers when your stuff shipped? Ordered cement fronts with sensor holes, but still havent received any shipping info..

 

Thoughts on installing these over wrapped bumper ends? Just feeling lazy...

 

Oh come on I peeled off my plasti dip to install these and it wasn't that bad. I actually got the rears to come off in one piece. Wrap can't be any worse.

You should have received an update on your original if they have been shipped. I think there was one of those that we sent back in for repainting for a flaw we found. If that was yours, then we've got it back from the painter, and it will be on its way tomorrow!

 

I've been getting a ton of questions about that! As far as opening them up again, I'm going to wait until we have everyone on this first run taken care of. We got in our new stock a couple days ago, but I think it would seem a little disingenuous if we start selling again while we still have guys that have been waiting weeks for their OEM painted ones. I want to make sure all our effort goes to filling the orders we already have before we start taking more in. I've got two more color runs scheduled for Silver Sky and Quicksand. Those should be on their way early next week, so I would say mid to late next week we'll open everything up again.

We'll almost definitely have another discount for Tundra World guys. I don't think it will be 15% again just because it won't be a "group-buy" per se, but it will be a good discount.

My cements look pretty good at first glance.. need to get them out during the day to really inspect them... any YouTube on installing yet? Specifically fronts with sensors... instructions look good regardless

@EC1 you might want to reach out in the "all out tundras" FB group. I'm not sure how much it costs to be a vendor in there but there are still a lot of Tundra owners that don't know how bad ass your products are.

BTW, the covers reached Guam safely. Very well packaged and as well as the instruction booklets. Just waiting on better weather to install them.

Looks like you installed the cover before removing the plastic. You can see small pieces around the sensor and the bolts on the bottom. Are you going to remove the sensor and bolts to get the remaining plastic off or just leave it as-is?

 

Correct, I wanted to keep the protective film on until I was done with installing. Those pics were right after I completed the install and removed the protective film, and I have since removed what little excess film was left.

I was sent two left sides! U got to be kidding me... one sides installed and now I'm looking at two different bumper ends.. not happy!!

 

That sucks man.I guess that’s what happens when company is overwhelmed with orders.Why did u install it if you saw both of them were same side.

 

I noticed it after I got started

 

Mine were damaged and it’s been over a week and still no word. They said they had MGM in stock. Trying to be patient

 

Now my truck looks a lil ridiculous... got the Matt schurzer thing going

 

Received my 218's today. They look pretty good. Minor imperfections but passable and unnoticeable when looking at normally. As someone else said earlier, it appears the bubble wrap made an impression on the paint during shipping. I haven't tried to see if they are easily removable or if it's how the paint settled while in tow.

The true test will be how they hold up over time. I currently have black vinyl over my chrome caps so this'll be an interesting to see the difference.

 

Anybody get any black metallic yet?

 

Anybody get two right sides in cement? If so I have your left one

 

Anyone have matte black photos? Ive seen some TPOs posted but want to compare with the matte for when these things go live again. Thanks!

 

That's a great idea Myk! I'll definitely look into that. Glad everything arrived in one piece. It better for how crazy expensive that shipping was for you.

 

Let us know about the bubble wrap spots. Guessing that will disappear with wax or a quick polish. We haven't gotten our tissue paper in, and we didn't want the regular paper to scratch the paint because black shows everything.
