Ive been doing some searching on here and cant find the answer im looking for.

Im thinking about putting a black exhaust tip on my truck. Is it worth it? Does it do anything other than for looks? I like the sound but would like a little growl. Would this help any?

Also Im not looking to cut the flared part off, would this look dumb if I dont?

My last setup on my 07 was custom dual exhaust. Sounded great. Had $100 black tips that constantly had to be be spiffed up. Forget the tips .I'm going with a drop down. Besides, the tips mess up rear clearance.

The OEM black exhaust tips don't change anything except the look. They are installed by tightening one bolt, and slide right over the factory exhaust without any cutting. It's a 30 second job.

Also: I don't know how this thread isn't titled "Just the Tip"

Let you on a “ secret” bought emblem on Amazon then molded/blended to fit shape of exhaust. Used heat glue on top of double sided tape, and made sure it was level and centered. Let harden for 24hrs. Done

You need to show that to Toyota, but only if they agree to split the profits with you. You'd make a killing! GREAT idea. I think I'll try it.

Used the clear gorilla glue with the brush. Only need to paint a small layer on the emblem and leave a small gap on the edge. Make sure you know exactly where you want to place it. Press for 30 seconds and let dry completely for 8hrs before driving

I just bought a black ceramic Flowmaster tip and the TRD emblem. Plan on totally copying you if that's ok. Just can't get over how good it looks. Been wanting to do this for awhile, you gave me the excuse. It's all your fault.
