Thanks, but no worries. If dasaita doesn’t send me one I’ll get one from Amazon. Thanks for the help though!

Ok so I just installed the unit I got from prerunnerseth a few months ago. So far I'm liking it over the Tesla but have a few questions:

    1. How do you deal with the slop in the screen? It seems to move with the slightest touch.
    2. Where are the settings to change the fastboot timeout and such? *strike that, I found that post*
    3. How did you fit the unit in the dash while stuffing the wires behind it? It seems VERY tight back there now.

Still have a few bugs to iron out and have to get used to a smaller screen but so far so good.

there like propeller twist knobs at the connections points. tighten them and it will tighten the ball bearing notches that hold the display

I did that and it still flops around driving down the road. I'll try to get it tighter but I have fat fingers.

Got this bad boy installed today. Love it so far. Wireless CarPlay works perfect. The Android system is going to take some time to get used to, but I’m liking it so far. Bought a backup camera to use as a front camera, not a good choice.

Can anyone recommend a good front camera?

Only issue I seem to be having is with the parking sensors, don’t seem as sensitive as they were. I can get really close to something now before they activate. Was this controlled from the original head unit? Is there a setting I can change somewhere?

    Thanks

I forgot which app but it’s one of the apps on there that will let you change the sensitivity of the sensors

I’m buying a unit on Amazon but they said buy it from seller in order to send me the Canbus adapter? Is something fishy here? I just don’t want to wait weeks for it! Any suggestions? Is just a harness or also needs a module to work ?

Buy from "Dasaita official store" on Amazon. after you buy, send them a message with year and model of vehicle. they will include canbus and plug and play harness for your truck. only thing you will need is a dash kit, and in my case a factory usb adapter to use the factory usb slot, they said they were out of stock when they shipped mine. Shipping was a week exactly.

Thanks for response, the thing is they don’t want me to buy it on prime, even is the option, directly from store is $10 more and takes a month according to aproxímate delivery time, I guess it’s coming back because they send it already

You should DM @minter66 since he installed a reverse camera for his truck. Most of us have the 3rd gen truck and didn’t have to hook up a reverse camera.

Also it looks like you don’t have video signal, try hooking up the yellow rca from the camera to another input.

I used the eraser end of a new No. 2 Pencil. Lol
I fits back there easily and the eraser part grips the wings good enough to get them snug.

Good idea. I think I might have something wrong though because I can't tighten the wings any more and it is squeaking pretty bad driving down the road.

Thanks for tagging me, work has picked up and I am not on as much as I used to be.

@cha5.6 have you tapped the reverse signal wire in the lower passenger floorboard?

And as mentioned, are you in the correct RCA port? Best way to tell ( I did the same thing) was to switch to the FCAM input and see if it shows there, while in reverse.

Make sure you have the pins fully seated before tightening the wing screws.

I have a feeling that the ball bearing inside the propeller might have inadvertently fell out. The reason I know this is because I took those connectors off thinking you had to remove them for display installation and inside there is a spring and then a tiny ball bearing. You have to be careful because it can easily fall out and land somewhere on the floor to never be found if you unscrew those propeller knobs. I almost lost one of the ball bearings but once you see whats inside, you understand how the connector works by placing tension on the ball bearing into the slotted holes you see on the hinge of the display monitor. I would venture to take both sides out to see if one side is missing or both are. Just thinking out loud. Hope this helps.

After tons of trouble shooting and numerous emails, they finally admitted to sending the wrong harness and agreed to send the corrected canbus... Finally my controls will work and the back up camera!!!

Side ask, has any one figured out how to get the wifi to auto connect to my phones hotspot? I have to play this fun game of turning the hotspot and wifi, off and on to get it to finally connect. Then if I turn the truck off, the game starts all over...

not sure what i changed in the Desaita setting, but my truck stopped beeping when i lock/unlock using the keyfob. It used to beep, but not anymore. I changed the canbus settings around, still no go. Does anyone else have the same issue?

To anyone with an AM amp, did you use the camera power line on the RCA harness as a remote turn on for the amp? I'm installing a 5 channel amp soon and don't remember seeing a remote wire.

It should be labeled on the canbus as well as "ANT" or "AMP CONT"
