I can't do aftermarket assemblies or retros but I want to improve my lighting. What's the general consensus on the best replacement bulbs? Also maybe replace the DRL and fogs also. Truck is a 17 Limited. Thanks.

I went with Sylvania Ultra Stars i like them they bright to me also I got em for fogs too but I got H11s even though they are H16 and Sylvania don't make Ultra Bright in H16 so I used a dremel to grind away on the metal notches a bit wider on the base plate on the bulb to fit in the fog light housing works for me

I just want to stick in some good quality halogen replacement bulbs that are way better than stock. Is that even possible? If so what's the most recommend? PIAA, Sylvania, Phillips, etc?

I have Philips Crystal Vision (high beam, low beam, fog lights). I originally got them to match the LED DRL (the stock was too yellow), but they are very bright.

Comparison to stock light (Yellow fog light is stock, low beam's Crystal Vision)

I have LEDs from PIAA, I'm very happy with them. I am however swapping to the 18 LEDs. 59b043ac1a639a76cd5ffcf0ee7c5aea_3c9e02f90728351594366c39a20977b8599b7646.jpg

The only thing I didn't like was having to cut the rubber boot on the back of the lamp. ac7569cea68b9b9f837cd2a228ae1042_afa0168ebd4b4310f6e246e94520a0bf7958fe85.jpg

iPhone, whatever its default auto-setting is. The light output is not perfectly white, but it seems to match the led strip pretty closely for halogen bulbs.

Did cutting the rubber boots let alot of dirt in? I live in the desert and take my truck on dirt road quite a bit. The possibility of mud/dirt coming up and into the headlights is what is swaying me away from doing this so just wanted to see how your trucks doing

I’m not exposed to a lot of dust, probably would not be ideal in your situation.

I installed High (9005) and Low (H11) beam S-V.4 LEDs from Lightwerkz.net in the 2007... I like them!

I have a set of H4 S-V.4 LEDs on the way for my 2002.
