I tried the search feature, but I can’t find a good recommendation for the best option for the tailgate insert TUNDRA letters. The OEM option is $50 is that what you guys recommend, or the $40 off Amazon? I’m looking for ease of install along with longevity.

Here is a link to my build and the inserts I put in last weekend. I went with OEM letters because of the raised lettering and matching to the other emblems.

I've been thinking about this to snazz up the white tailgate. My door handles are black as well along with the mirrors.

I added OEM ones. Just wanted to be certain they would be good quality.

If OEM is only $10 more, I'd go that route

I think the tufskinz are better quality than oem. They are raised and just are solid. My dad has the oem on his 2016 and one of the letters cracked and is peeling away.

Mine were installed when I bought the truck, so it came with 3y parts installed warranty.

TufSkinz may be a good option too. I wasn't happy at all with their vent covers, but my fog light accents are nice. Customer Service at TufSkinz was too notch

They are easy enough to replace if something happens down the road and there are a ton of them on the market now

    Lost track after #1.
I had the vinyl ones. They were fine, but I like the metal ones I have now. I don't recall if I bought the exact same ones as linked above, but I believe they're all basically the same.

Yeah it is lol. I'm telling you. you will be very happy with the tufskinz ones though in matte black. Just make sure you're doing it in a warm place. I had to heat the tailgate up with a hair dryer as I did each letter as well as the letters because my truck won't fit in the garage and it's cold here now.

Yeah I was gonna get their vent covers, but I think The AJT Designs ones are a lot better for all the rest of the stuff on the interior of the truck.

@mech_engineer09 do you have a picture of yours? I've thought about doing this but wasn't sure how the black would look with MGM. Wasnt sure it would be noticeable or just blend in too much.

Yes it looks great on the MGM. I plastidipped the 4x4 emblem as well and they match pretty perfectly. Just gotta do the platinum emblems. I just looked I actually don't have any pictures of it. I'll take one as soon as I get done with work and put it up on here. It doesn't blend in too much with the MGM. I was a little worried about that, but I bit the bullet and ordered that matte and i'm glad I didn't go with the gloss finish.

Lol I’m in Akron. I know the feeling. But yeah the black is subtle enough to not be obnoxious but noticeable to make a difference.
