Since this is a very common question :deadhorse: @Bob made a solid suggestion of having a stickied thread. I stole @csuviper' s text from this thread.

TIRE SIZE WITH AND WITHOUT LIFT KITS:

Note: These recommendations are based on the factory wheels. Using an upgraded rim with different backspacing will allow you to increase to a wider tire.
    First Gen Tundra (2000-2006)
    No Lift Kit
    Max tire sizes are:
    • 16″ rims: 275/70 R16 – 4/10ths wider, half-inch taller than largest factory tire size
    • 17″ rims: 265/70 R17 – one inch taller but same width as factory
    • 17″ rims: 275/65 R17 – 4/10ths wider, half-inch taller than largest factory tire size
    1.5 – 2″ Leveling Kit (or less)
When installing a leveling kit, you might be able to fit some wider tires than what we have listed. It may require some trimming though, but it is possible.
    Max tire sizes are:
    • 16″ rims: 265/75 R16 – one inch taller but same width as factory
    • 17″ rims: 275/70 R17 – 1.5 inches taller and 4/10ths wider than factory
    3″ Lift Kit
With a 3″ lift kit, the options continue to get better. However, the wider the tire, the greater the likelihood of trimming.
    Max tire sizes are:
    • 16″ rims: 285/75 R16 – slightly more than 2″ taller than factory, this tire is 8/10ths wider than factory as well. This width may be problematic in tight turns and/or at full suspension compression.
    • 16″ rims: 265/80 R16 – an oddball size, this tire is the same width as the factory but more than 2″ taller
    • 17″ rims: 285/70 R17 – slightly more than 2″ taller than factory, this tire is 8/10ths wider than factory as well. This width may be problematic in tight turns and/or at full suspension compression.
Second Gen (2007-2013) and Third Gen (2014+) Tundra
    No Lift Kit
    Max tire sizes are:
    • 18″ rims: 285/65 R18 – 5/10ths taller and 4/10ths wider than factory. Trimming may be necessary.
    • 20″ rims: 275/60 R20 – one inch taller but same width as factory
    1.5 – 2″ Leveling Kit (or less)
When installing a leveling kit, you might be able to fit some wider tires than what we have listed. It may require some trimming though, but it is possible.
    Max tire sizes are:
    • 18″ rims: 275/70 R18 – One inch taller but same width as factory.
    • 18″ rims: 285/70 R18 – 4/10ths wider and 1.7 inches taller than factory. Trimming may be necessary.
    • 18″ rims: 295/65 R18 – 1 inch taller, 8/10ths wider than factory. Trimming is probably needed due to width.
    • 20″ rims: 285/60 R20 – 4/10ths wider and 1.5 inches taller than factory.
    3″ Lift Kit
With a 3″ lift kit, the options continue to get better. However, the wider the tire, the greater the likelihood of trimming.
    Max tire sizes are:
    • 18″ rims: 285/75 R18 – 4/10ths wider and 2.8″ taller than factory.
    • 18″ rims: 305/70 R18 – 1.2 inches wider and 2.8″ taller than factory. There are Tundra owners running this size, but trimming is required. Replacing the stock wheels with after-market 18′s that have less backspacing is recommended.
    • 20″ rims: 285/65 R20 – 4/10ths wider, 1.6″ taller than factory.
    • 20″ rims: 305/60 R20 – 1.2 inches wider and 2.4″ taller than factory. There are Tundra owners running this size, but trimming is required (it’s a tight fit).

Thats awesome. I've sworn off responding to 'will this fit' threads, but I may just chime in enough to post a link to this thread.

Maybe some guys could chime in with the offsets and all they have so that can be added to the first post as well. I know a lot of folks swap out the wheels when they're looking for tires. So having different offset numbers up there might be helpful.

I'm running 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers with a +30 offset and have no rubbing without any modifications. It's a tight fit, but they work. Brand of tire is important too when considering tires because the actual width depends on the tire. My trail grapplers are 285 so they should be an 11.5" tire, but they're actually just under 12"

I had 295/60/20 tires and +18 offset wheels on 2.5" lift. I had to remove all mud flaps and push the wheel well liner in to eliminate rubbing. I will be running the same wheel/tire specs on my new truck with 3" lift.

where would a 295/55/20 fit into this table for a stock 3rd gen? think it would fit with no lift and a tad bit of trimming? its about 3/4" wider and 3/4" taller.

I don't see 18 inch rims under 1st generation. Mine are stock on a Darrell Waltrip model. Looking to replace stock tires with 285/65/18's. Any issues with this size on a stock suspension?

LOL. Just don't have to be scared to cut shit. CMC, trimmed skid plate, remove front mud flap, remove front lower plastics, and proper offset and anyone is gold.

So from what I've read, the pro has a factory lift/level of around 3 inches in front and 2 in the rear. Which means I should be able to run 285/75r18s if I wanted?

I don't own a pro but believe they are only 2" higher in front and the same in the rear. I am running a 285/75R-18 on OEM wheels, but have a few mods.

I think there needs to be a sticky on how to use the search function.. I feel like I see the same grill and spyder headlight/bulb questions every time I log in lol :frusty:.

Or a prompt when users first login:

"What would you like to ask today?"

o What grill do you have
o What lift should I go with
    o Anyone have Spyder headlights

CM-LENNY is correct. ~2" in the front, same in the rear for the Pro. I had a chance to measure one and compare to mine.

What size is considered factory? I have 285/55R20, which is an upgrade with the TSS package. I think the "factory" tire is slightly smaller, correct?
