I’m on the fence of what fog lights to get. I’ve read a lot of good things and some bad. I am considering the:
Baja design squadron sport everyone that has them, likes them.
Diode Dynamic are almost $140 cheaper.
Can anyone help me with my decision?

Also anyone know what kind of deals are out there, or what they paid?

Baja has a better warranty, the ability to change beam pattern with $15 lenses, and is the only light that is IP69 pressure washer rated.

I actually did a lense swap today in preparation for my new ss built front bumper next weekend lol

Diode dynamics don’t look bad for the money though.

    See fine print
    BD for off-road
    DD for street

simple as that. BD def has more light output but not friendly to other drivers. DD has a real clean cutoff and has good control of light to not blind anyone. I believe we have a coupon code for BD. Just send them a message or find their post for it. DD has some good sales on every main holiday.

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
I just got two sets of the sae foglights from diode. Very good customer service he hooked me up. Also way more affordable bc I needed two sets and will use on road. 150 cheaper per set. For serious off-road night time I’d say BD might be better. Trying to save up for some lp6s in the future

To echo @BlueBottle: BD had issues with their first run of SAE compliant fog lights but they have that "lifetime warranty" and great customer service

DD has SAE compliant fog lights in a sport (cheaper) and pro series

theres a nice thread over on tacomaworld talking about all the fog pods you can imagine, with the tabletop review of the DD slated to be posted soon.

i just bought a set of DD SS3 Sports as i wanted as true a fog beam as possible since i already have a DD lightbar and retrofitted headlights.

DD has some really nice SAE fog lights. BD missed the boat on that one.

Do the DD mounting brackets for the fog seem sturdy?

Yes but both dd or bd screws to the plastic housing. So it’s just as sturdy as that housing. The dd seems lighter so that should make it better.

BD SAE fogs here pictures are as follows. Fogs only, headlights and fogs, high beam and fogs. I use to have the regular squadron sport as fogs and they did mellow them down a little and the cut off is better but not supper sharp but I got them for a hell of a deal so I couldn’t pass on them. I have been running them daily and haven’t been flashed

DD all day. BD “sae” fogs are not compliant. The fix to make them compliant severely decreased the output and width. So they aren’t even in the same league as the DDs anymore.
If you’re looking for a street legal light, DD. If you are needing light for pitch black trails and will use them purely in off road situations, then BD is what you need.

I just joined the forum so I could ask you specifically about your DD 42" lightbar on the roof. Im curious about the glare on your hood. Do you have any photos or vidoes you could share to demonstrate the TIR lenses? Im deciding whether to get this lightbar or a BD S8. Thank you

Get a driving pattern in the DD or a Spot Pattern in the S8 and you should have minimal hood glare
