    Hey guys,
This is my first thread so cut me some slack. I haven’t seen many write ups and reviews about the toytec complete performance lift, and wanted to give y’all a review to help others who were like me trying to decide on a lift. First off I have a 2014 crew max with the rough country front bumper. Now on the the review. The front coil overs are the aluma series with the 700lb spring rate set at 3”, and the rears are lifted with toytecs adjustable shackles complimented by toytecs remote resi shocks. The ride is AMAZING. Maybe it was because my Trd off-road shock were old but the truck is night and day compared to what it used to be. The front rides a touch but stiffer than stock, more like a more stable ride, but it’s not in a bad way. Anything over 25-30 mph the kit just soaked up any bumps you encounter. Yes the kit is a few hundred more than the standard boss, granted I’ve never rode on a boss kit but I can’t imagine the could ride any better than this kit given the aluma series coil overs are a 2.5” vs the boss’ 2” and the complete kit has remote resis. No doubt if I could do it all again I would go with the aluma series every single time.
    Thanks for reading,
    Caleb

Did you get a full 3 inch lift up front? And are the rears Aluma series also?

Yes it gave me a full three inches, but no the rear shocks are the toytec boss 2.0 remote resi. No the rear shocks are zinc plated

Also just installed this setup about 500 miles ago.. Loving them so far..I am surprised this kit isn't more popular. For the price point I think you get a real quality setup without quite getting into the real big money brands.. I think the performance is on point.

Any plans on adding a remote resi to the aluma series coilovers? @Toytec Lifts

Do you think the Aluma series is better than the original Boss kit? I haven't decided on which one to go with yet.

Well biggest difference is the front coilovers is a 2.5" shock body vs 2" and it's all aluminum. The biggest selling point for me is the aluminum will hold up against my NH salted roads in the winter.

I just installed this kit this week by myself, took 3 hours for the rear and 4 for the front. I also put in 295/70r18 tires on +18 offset wheels. I took off the front and rear mudflaps in the front wheel well, and am getting rubbing in reverse. I'll fix that later if I can find the post that spells it out.

Threw this exact setup on over the weekend as well. Couldn't agree more about the ride quality.

Unfortunately, i did not break out the tape measure before or after. I would say that it is very close, since i was worried about hitting the antenna on the roof pulling the thing out of my garage. The HOA doesn't allow you to work on vehicles in the driveway. So it was a good thing I didn't go any higher, or i would have had some clearance issues and some tough decisions to make getting the truck out of the garage. First world problem, i know.

Yeah that would have been fun. I was looking at the original Boss kit but the Alumas aren't much more. Mines a street truck so I cant go wrong with either one.

I just put the regular boss set up with spc arms on mine a week ago to replace a 3/2 spacer lift I had. Gave me about 1/4 or 1/2” more in the front than I had with the spacer on the trd coilovers. Ride is greatly improved. So far I’m happy and can say it was money well spent. I still need to get it off-road and see how she does but I did plow an abnormally large possum the other night and it ate it like a champ.
