2016 5.7 crewmax problems with the cold weather

First post here, so apologies if this is the wrong place.

2016 Toyota tundra crew max 5.7 TRD. Love my truck but recently I have been having issues in the morning when starting the truck. I live in FL so it's not terribly cold here, but as soon as I start going down the road first drive of the day, once it reaches to I believe 3rd or 4th gear the rpms stutter. Bad. It bounces up and down a few hundred rpms and won't stop until I take my foot off the gas. It only does it once per day right at startup but is very concerning to me.

Only thing recently done to it is a new battery along with oil change and fluid top off.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

 

Forgot to mention it will not shift out of this. I have to take foot off gas.

 

How many miles on the truck? Maybe run some good fuel system cleaner in a tank. If the miles are up there it may be time for spark plugs. Is the air filter clean?

 

Yep, that would concern me too buddy. I will not even try to diagnose your problem here. Best advice is take it in to your dealership and have them check it out thoroughly. Fuel pump? Transmission? Hard to say.

 

60k on the truck. Tried fuel cleaner.

 

shouldnt need plugs, I would take it in
