    Hello,
First post here! I've got a 2004 Double Cab with a mangled fender. I have no experience with bodywork and was hoping someone here had some insight about what I should expect for my truck's fender.

I'm not sure if this is going to be a repair and repaint, or a replacement situation.
The fender is contacting the hood and appears to have buckled where it mounts up in the engine bay.

I would think it might be easiest to just pull a fender from a junkyard. The good news is that white is probably the most common color for our trucks. You might want to reuse that fender flare depending on what you find at the junk yard.

Good thing your truck isn't black, black fenders sell out the fastest at junkyards.

Well, I'm not sure who near me would even have a first-gen double cab with a usable driver's side fender. I have a quote from a local body shop that's $500 out the door for repair and repaint to code.

Do standard/access cab fenders work on a double cab?

No you need a DC fender. $500 isn't a terrible price I'd probably pay it.

I'm also tossing around the idea of buying the 4" bulge fenders from fiberwerx and having them painted. I'm planning on putting toytec coilovers and a prerunner style bumper on the front (which would afford me a lot more wheel clearance paired with everything else).

Too many options, not enough money or time.

I’d fix it. 5 for the dent, 2.8 for refinish. Couple hours tear down. Not sure what labor rates are down there but $500 doesn’t sound like a bead deal. Make sure they have the stripe or the fender will look like it’s jumping off the truck.
