I didn't know if I should make a whole new thread for this, so I thought I'd post it here.

I was convinced I knew everything about my 13 tundra, but tonight I found out I was wrong. Maybe you guys already knew this, but... Did you know you can have your tundra running and not have your amber running lights on?!

I was watching fireworks tonight and had the parking break on because I was at a bit of an incline. When I got in the cab to leave, I started the truck and immediately noticed my running lights were not on. I turned the light switch and they turned on, but when I turned it back to the off position, the running lights turned back off. As soon as I released the parking break the running lights came back on.

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting. I could have had the truck running with the air conditioner on and not bothered anyone else with lights being on.

I found out by accident too. Probably something else I haven't figured out yet no doubt.

I had a GM truck at some point, and if you pushed the park brake pedal down 1-click, the DRLs shut off. It was nice when going on base, to actually dim the lights for the SF folks checking IDs.... maybe these are the same?(not needing Full engagement to shut off the lights...)

    So I have an 08 tundra 5.7
It has 3 inch body lift and 35’s on it.
It seems like my abs kicks in too quickly if I brake hard. But a more important issue, is that my vsc will engage on on/off ramps on highways when it’s not even necessary. I’m wondering if by having the lift and bigger tires would cause the computer to think it’s tipping or something?
    Any info would help

Oh and tires are 12.5 wide if that makes any difference as well

    Zero Point Calibration.

This is what needs to be done for both of your situations. If you haven't already solved your problem, just Google how you can accomplish it. Sorry for the very late response.

All Gen 2s minus the 2007 models have the following options.

    Yep - this.

Can be done with a simple paper clip and a pdf (or Techstream).

If this doesn't work, you may want to try shimming the yaw sensor (under the middle storage compartment), as well.

All of the info is on the Google (for both of these procedures).

Is the vehicle completely stopped? I'm asking as it wasn't mentioned, covering that base. Also, I'm not sure that TC is on in 4X4 for it to be turned off. Honestly, I haven't been keeping up on this functionality recently. Where I am, it's 4X4 100% of the time with the mountains/snow/winter.

You haven't had your dash apart recently for any reason have you? Where the connector to the back side of the switch may not have been restored? I'm trying to think of all the really easy things to check.

That's what I'm thinking. Something not plugged in or wrong with the button.

I didn't think I was going to be out in the truck today, but I was. So, while in 4X4, I pressed and held the TC button. After a few seconds (3-4) the TC disabled (truck w/squiggles) indicator in the cluster came on.

Restart your phone, try someone else's phone, replace radio. That would be my train of thought. It's most likely the phone.

Awesome, thank you! I have the 2008 5.7. I point this out because you mentioned it may have a 4th option? My manual will say and explain everything like you did?
