I just purchased a 14 Crewmax TRD and I ordered Bilstein 5100 front and back. I was thinking about putting the fronts at the top setting and either running 275/70 or 285/75 on stock TRD 18 inch wheels. I'm sure this has been discussed many times on here before so I apologize for the redundancy.

Can anyone post pictures of bilstein 5100 on top setting running 275/70 or 285/75 on stock TRD 18 inch wheels as well as any mods that needed to be made?

    Thanks in advance

Removed front small mud flap and had to bend the stock skid plate ends just a little. Removed front sway bar. Trust me.... you’ll want to do that! No other suspension mods yet. Have Toytech shackles on the bench in the garage to install to help with towing the boat.

Top setting. Glad I went with that setting. Gave a true 2.5” front lift. No lean

I ended up going on middle setting. Bought 20 inch oem limited wheels and put 285/60 r20 toyo at2 on them. No shims no wheel spacers. Rubbed at full on skid plate, popped off skid plate trimmed corner and that was it.

Looks great man! That’s definitely the right size for our trucks at that height.

I posted in another thread, but got no answers. I'm about the jump into some mods and thinking about going with something similar to yours: Front Bilstein 5100's at middle setting, 285/60/20 Toyo MT's hoping to go with the 20" XD 778. The XD's are offered at 20x9 (35mm) OR 20x10 (-12mm). I'm most concered with rubbing on the UCA. I've already taken off the front flaps. Any words of advice?

For me personally I wouldn't go with the -12mm offset wheels. They will poke out way too far. the +35 mm should be perfect with this tire size and should sit about flush. Mine are on stock limited 20s with a +60 mm offset and I still have UCA clearance. All I had to do was trim the skid plate.

I’m installing the 5100’s next week and think I’ll put them at the highest setting. I’m debating between 285/60/20 or 275/65/20. I’m hoping they will fit.

I was going to go 5100's on the middle setting and hoping 285/60/20's would fit with the +50 offset TSS wheels. Think that would work or do i need to go top setting?

How is the ride on the top setting compared to stock?
