Does anyone have pictures of a 2000-2002 tundra with just the steel bumper removed? Need to do some comparing before I order all these parts for a swap and I cant seem to find any pictures of one

I've been buying other shit like mad lately. I'm sure my clearcoat on the roof has failed but the rest I need to do. Probably will order supplies at the end of this month and knock it out in early May. Pretty sure I'm gonna bedliner my roof, not sure which product I'll use or which method yet.

You could always just do a black rap up there. Might look cleaner.

I vote white roof, just because it’d be ironic

Considered olive green but I'll likely go black.

I thought about laying down vinyl but seems like a more temporary fix, I've never been big on wraps or dip.

In other news I found the long lost most important thread in all first gen history. Enjoy.

I forget how clean these trucks look when they have intact fenders.

Or intact paint for that matter. That's why I'm the paint Nazi around here. Gotta keep these trucks looking good. In 15 years when we drive past the guys in their electric trucks, they are going to sigh with nostalgia. I'll rev my dirty deeds exhaust a bit and head off into the sunset. :burnrubber:

I've not pulled the trigger yet. I still feel guilty as hell when my dad and his wife are out of work so I'm considering giving him my stimulus check. But DD exhaust and long tubes will happen at some point.

Yeah it’s hard to justify or purchase something like that when so many around are struggling.
I just got great news at work; all of us are getting back pay, from 3-4 weeks ago, and going forward extra pay for working thru all of this crazy

I am thinking about picking up this leer topper/camper/shell for my 2001 tundra that is thunder grey metallic. I currently have a soft tonneau cover. I contacted the place and they said they were thinking $90 would be fair. It is black and they do not have the lock key, but not a deal breaker. It would be a four hour drive to get it. What are your thoughts??

Uh, do it. $90 is a steal. I paid $375 for mine amd drive 4 hours each way. You can paint it pretty easily.

I was thinking the same things. What kind of made me double take was that the side windows don't do much besides serve as vent towards the rear from what I can tell from some research. I would like it to be more functional, but I guess you cant be too picky

No you can't. These toppers will get harder and harder to find as time goes on. You could always replace the windows if it really bothered you. I priced out 1 window for mine at $180.

Thats is quite steep, and yours looks great! I will probably end up going to look at it, and if it checks out, I will get it. Then if I end up not liking it, I can sell it for more! It looks really nice/new still.

Yea jump on that. I drove 2 hrs for mine and I paid I think 200. And that was a steal for the super rare 8 ft fiberglass cap

What sort of prep work are you doing to make sure it will adhere? The parts I painted black with bedliner spray are already chipping.

    What paint are you using?

I have the same head unit minus the optional amp. So far so good. The only complaints I have is that the two finger swipe feature for volume doesn't work great and android auto sucks. But that might not be the stereos fault. I'm glad I got it though. Highly recommend a back up camera too.

I remember reading you had issues with AA but I'm too lazy to search. :rofl:Just curious since I've used it in a handful of rental vehicles and not had any issues with it.

I can't receive calls while connected. Amd other just random glitches. I've tried unpairing and repairing a few times. Tried to things I found on google. No luck.
