Is it worth buying a 3/1 or 3/2 ready lift kit or should I save money to get a trd pro suspension lift or Bds coilover 3inch lift

and if I do do the ready lift what’s the max size tire I can run with out having to do any cutting

Stay away from spacer lifts if you can and also rear blocks. Bilstein 5100’s or 6112’s are a cheap alternative. Get shackles for the rear not blocks.

See I want this but I need to save and do some more research. I don’t want lose mpg or do any trimming or mods or to fit a tire so I was hoping I can fit a 32 or 32.5 tire on their 20 inch wheel and not rub on this bds 3 inch coilover lift

IMO, that's an expensive lift for what you are trying to do. A 32 is a stock tire and will look small with a 3 inch lift. I went the Toytec route...which is what I'm installing today. As @LT75 said, stay away from spacers and blocks. I have the Readylift 3/2 and that's what I am removing after a year and a half.

I agree. A 3” lift with anything less than 34”-35” tires will look small.

@Lossy87 do you plan on doing some really heavy offroading, or are you just lifting to get tire clearance? For heavy offroading, I agree, you should go the route of a suspension lift with no front spacers and no rear blocks (use shackles for the rear if you want to maintain a close-to-factory rake). If all you need is tire clearance, front spacers are fine with bump stock extensions, but I still would not use rear blocks, for shackles aren't that much more expensive. It also depends on whether or not you're installing yourself; if you are having someone install, by the time labor is added, it's only a little more expensive to go with a Bilstein 6112/5160 (or 5100 in the rear) suspension lift with shackles (if you want to maintain said rake), or even cheaper with 5100’s all around, versus doing a front spacer lift. I learned that the hard way. :( Lots of guys run the 6112/5160 (or 5100) set-up on this forum; there's a whole thread dedicated to it.

One more thing, anytime you go to a bigger tire, you can forget about maintaining your MPG's...

I run 34's with the Readylift. Switching over to these today. Shackles are on the way.

Cool. That Fox kit though might be a little overkill for only part-time offroading...6112/5160 set-up will give you the clearance, and is more than capable for offroading. BUT...it’s YOUR money, spend it how you would like! That Fox set-up on your truck would be AWESOME!!

The TRD Pro Fox setup will clear a 33.5 easily without any modification/trimming. I run Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70R-18 ~33.5” on my stock Pro. No rubbing, no trimming, barely noticeable MPG loss. Recently added 1” Bora Spacers to make the wheels come outside the body a tad. Still no rubbing. I agree with the previous posters as well. Definitely do coil overs and shackles vs blocks. 32’s look too small on our trucks. Good luck!

Nitto is listed at 33.98 in that size, are they closer to 33.5" or 34"

I have been going back and forth on size and brand and can't make up my mind. Nitto like yours or bfg km3 in same size 285/70/18, or faulken wildpeak at3 in 275/70/18.

Spacers make the stance look better, but not sure if I want to use them or not.

According to Tiresize.com it’s 33.7”. Each tire manufacturer is a little different in overall size. So I’d believe it being closer to 34. If you don’t want to run spacers to achieve a wider stance just run after market wheels with a larger offset. About +18 - +22 seems to be the sweet spot. I wanted to keep the stock BBS Pro Wheels. After doing quite a bit of research I found that so long as you use a reputable brand spacer (Bora, Spidertrax) you are safe. That said, the wider you go the more likely to experience problems. That why I went with the 1”. 1: Bora custom makes each spacer to order and are arguably one of the best in the spacer market. 2: 1” is the absolute minimum width without having to modify the lugs. 3: It was going to make the tire stick out just the right amount for my liking.
I wouldn’t go any bigger than 1.25” though.

Yeah I was referring to the manufacturer size20200502_123247.jpg
The manufacturer on the bfg states 33.7

I really want 285/75/18, as it's closer to a 35 but not as wide as most 35s. But to fit that I think I would need a new bumper or lots of trimming of the stock one. Basically I am indecisive as of right now.
Your truck looks great by the way

I have no experience with that size. I think some of the others here have run a 35 on a stock Pro setup. Not sure if they had to trim though. Have you considered 295/70/18? It’s not a 35 but bigger than 34. Thanks for the compliment!

Rear lift blocks are pretty standard in lift kits. The people who really need to worry about it are trail runners...the boulder crawling trail rigs where articulation angles can pop a block right out.

I run the 285/70/18 Ridge Grappler. It's right at a 34. The 295/70 is only about a 1/2 inch bigger and 10 lbs heavier than the 285.

They are standard. But because Toyota has weak rear leafs many have had them flatten prematurely due to blocks.
