So I lifted my truck three inches with a spacer lift, I was aware I would need an alignment but my local 4x4 shop have me issues saying I need to spend $900 on adjustable UCA’s which I feel like may not be true, even if it was I would buy them myself since I have all the tools to do it, I am only 18 and feel like he may think that I don’t know much about trucks I did research and saw that other lifted tundras could get alignments when they asked for their custom specs and the shops did them I feel like I should be in the same situation. I do want to upgrade my control arm to something that will be better off than stock but I cannot afford SCP UCA’s right now as I just dropped a lot of money on at3 4s coopers, can anybody give me some advice or peace of mind I need help from someone who’s had a lifted tundra and had camber issues the tech told me my arm was very pitched and that he could not guarantee 100% alignment I just want 0 camber so that I can have even tire wear on my A/T’s which are expensive in my opinion

You won’t have 0 camber on the stock UCA it’s gonna be positive slightly but that’s not gonna make your tires wear bad. They should get the alignment close tho it won’t be perfect but it will be decent. take it to another shop. Your caster is what’s gonna be lower than spec. My advice take it somewhere else. Another shop should get you pretty close and you should have decent tire wear. Post your numbers up after you get it done and we can tell you if you really absolutely need UCA’s or if you can hold out till you get funds.I’m on a 3” lift stick UCA’s my tires wear just fine.

Well my suspicions were right and I’m glad that all of you commented on the thread I was really worried for a second there, got the truck back and it is exactly as you described, drives fine and if there is any pos camber it is not noticeable at all like you said. Drove pretty well but they didn’t give me a spec sheet but they were a very bad shop so I wasn’t even gonna ask for it. They told me they would charge 120 for mount and balancing my all terrains and 170 for the alignment, tried charging me 300 for labor which was undisclosed and illegal to do in my county, needless to say they changed the price back to what I said very quickly they actually undercharged me but I will never be back at that shop again very shady and dishonest. Thank you for all the responses, hopefully in the next year I will upgrade my upper control ease the geometry, what do y’all think of freedom offroad UCA’s, I will either go for those or spc’s in the next 8 months after I feel like I’ve saved enough to be safe with it.

Jba is another good brand to think about.

$170 for an alignment? That’s a rip off I’ve never paid over like $60. Ya don’t go there anymore. Freedom seems to be a good budget setup from my research not to many guys have them here but I’ve
Seen guys on other truck forums use them with no negative effects. Spc, Jba, camburg, total chaos, icon, zone all make great products to.

I think that I’ll be saving for the JBA since they are adjustable and will make my alignment a lot better, for now this will be good I drove a good 50 miles today into the Everglades and hit some trails and my truck feels great compared to before with my old tires and an out of whack alignment, by chance do any of you know if the V8 tundra exhaust systems fit the 4.0 V6 tundra? Currently have a custom dual cherry bomb side exit which to my surprise sounds really good but the drone is too much for my dad and I have to drive him up a couple states so I’m looking to change it up to something that exits further from the cab, if anything I’ll take it to my muffler guy and see how much a dual exhaust will run me

And yeah for some reason in Miami the alignments are extremely overpriced, I’m gonna start going to my buddies to find better and more affordable shops

If your not hitting your control arms now you will not hit with most good after markets control arms, If I'm not mistaking most control arms are the same as stock, minus 1 or 2 degree.

Florida doesn't have the type of obstacles that are gonna cause that but since im gonna be going up to tennessee every once in a while might as well go to JBA when i get the chance, I want to do it in like 6 months when just in case it messes up my alignment

I just bought the JBA uca’s for my truck should come in soon, they should be perfect for me truck it was the only option that was good quality for the price that would also fit with my stock offset rims with the slightly bigger tires, will let everybody know how it goes once I get to put them on and find an alignment guy when I get back to Miami from tennessee

What offset rims are you running, I just bought these same control arms and I’m gonna be installing them myself just because I know it’s do-able since I installed my lift with my dad but I want to make sure that my slightly larger tires on my stock offset bbs rims Won’t cause any issues, I started to hear my ballpoint squeak after a 2K mile trip so I figured it was time to do the job
