New to Tundras. Any issues if using a set of rims without tpms sensors just for winter use?

Like he said. It won't hurt anything.

I dumped the sensors in all of my wheels... the little light stops flashing in about 90 seconds.

I'm ghetto. I have a piece of electrical tape over the dummy light.

One sensor was seized doing a wheel swap. Just went with regular rubber valve stems.

I think TPMS is not worth the trouble they eventually cause. The only start to give you a low pressure warning only after they're obviously low. Any observant driver could notice they have a low tire before the sensors kick in. They also add an unnecessary expense when their batteries go bad.

There are a few alternatives that can be cloned to your existing sensors if you’re interested.

I appreciate the info. Going without sensors for winter tires. I can deal with an idiot light.

In my older cars I use to take the gauge unit out and remove the bulb. Lol not sure how way a tundra is.

I am planning on switching over TPMS from my stock 20in tires to aftermarket Method wheels a week or two ahead of installing my lift. Will everything go back to working as normal once the lift is installed and the method wheels with the TMPS sensors are on the truck? Even after sitting off the truck for a week or two?
