I have a 2016 TRD 4x4 extended cab with the factory Bilsteins

I have an opportunity to buy some Bilstein take offs from a friends truck,
he has a 2018 TRD 4x4 but with crew cab body style

does any one know if these bilsteins and coil springs are identicle between these two trucks, with the difference only being the body style?
I havnt varified which colors the springs are marked with, so a color chart for the front coils may haelp as well.

    thanks

Ok I looked at the markings on both sets of springs.
My 2016 TRD 4x4 double cab has 2 blue markings on driver spring , and 2 yellow markings on passenger side

The 2018 TRD 4x4 crew cab has 1 blue marking on driver spring , and 1 yellow marking on passenger side

Does this mean the spring rates are different? do you think the set from the crew cab may be stiffer , and produce a rougher ride on my 2016 double cab ?

They are marked different because of the 4x4 diff. The coils are different in the sense that there is a left and a right. I am sure they would fit. Find the parts number and cross reference. Sounds like they are stock so I am sure they would fit and also be about the same ride you already have

    please read my original posting.

    Both vehicles are 4x4
I realize there is a left and a right.
Coil springs dont have part numbers , they have paint codes.
and I know they will fit.

    My question is ;
do these 2 different sets , the set with the single yellow and single blue compared to the set with 2 yellow dots and 2 blue dots have different spring rates (meaning is one set stiffer than the other)

Pics might help identify whether there are any visual differences between the shocks on your ‘16 vs. your buddy’s ‘18, or if they’re both the factory Bilsteins. If I’m not mistaken, there should be a sticker on the shocks indicating the model and perhaps some other useful information. I don’t know that the colored dots indicate anything about spring rates.

I did and I said the ride will probably be the same. Just different years and I also suggested get the part number and cross reference them. Just trying to help you out!!! They are both 4x4s just different years one year one dot one year two dots

I mentioned above both trucks were TRD ,
so yes they are both equipt with the factory Bilsteins

Yes, thats exactally what the dots mean , they will tell you which truck (body style / suspension package) they were made for.
With many varibles like , extra cab or crew cab , trd or standard, 4x2 or 4x4 there are various coil springs (with different spring rates) the colored dots were used when the truck was assembled

Personally do not think you would notice the difference “IF” there is one.
