Can't stop lusting after this flawless bay. Thanks for the PB oil tip, I was thinking about getting a metal polish for mine but sounds like this works fine. Is that an aftermarket intake?

Thank you. Its the original. Its had a few coats put on the manifold already prior. The PB Penetrates the fine Aluminum Pores. Even acts as cleaning agent if real dirty.

Haha wish I was in such a good place with my Tundra that I was lubing latches... For me right now there are always bigger things to take care of, but I'm looking forward to those bored days someday.

Received my front ring/pinion and my build kit for the rear. Dropping the truck off next week to get them installed.

Perfect! I’m on the fence between 4.56’s and 4.88’s. Looking forward to your thoughts.

I originally planned 4.56 then after speaking with Keith (DirtyDeeds), he recommends 4.88's but then @Blueranger501 came in my build thread and gave his feedback on 4.88s, which was positive but he has larger tires and felt the 4.56s would be a better fit for my setup. Since it was my original intent as well, I switched back and went 4.56s.

I believe with my setup at 70mph it will net me around 2250rpm. 4.88s would be around 2400rpm at 70mph which I do feel is a little higher than I'd prefer.

Of course, I will report on it once completed! And I'm hopeful that I can get the few exhaust leaks fixed (couple things need to be welded).

Mines pretty bad too; possibly one of the worst now. I don't think its salsa red though. 02 was a different color I believe. But this was July last year, and it's gotten worse.

Finished the roof, tailgate and back wall, only the driver's side panels to do now. Roughly the same shot, different floors on the same deck, before/after.

When I get finished I'll shoot it with pics from the back lot where I bought and what it looks like now.

Oh! And new bumper too. Someone tagged me in a parking lot recently, so the paint-matched bumper had to go, even though I liked it more. Almost forgot ;)

Your cab roof is a spitting image of mine. I am still hemming and hawing about what to do with it.

Mines gotten so bad, along with the hood, and the flares, and the rest of the body is brush scratched, that I'm just gonna let it be. Sucks, but that's reality for me.

Such an annoying problem to have. My truck runs great and I love it but I hate looking at how terrible my paint looks. Rock chips on the hood have killed it to the point where it needs true body work to smooth it back out.

I’ve thought about doing black bed liner on it. But a friend of mine did that to his entire Jeep and it’s got more flakes than Tony the Tiger now!

I'm very likely doing my roof in black bed liner. How it goes long term depends on prep and which product. From my experience the Rustoleum is nice to use but the texture snags every little bit of lint when you wash it. Others fade to gray or get chalky, I plan to use Monstaliner since its UV protected and the texture isn't so similar to sand paper.

chrisfix has saved my car so many times! i love his videos on detailing and removing scratches. i have significant success watching the first video you posted. Check out my build page when i did my badges. i wet sanded those areas and you can barely tell i removed the "toyota" in front of tundra now. ended up doing that to a lot of my car which made me realized, the whole thing needs repainting. bad. My only hesitation to doing my paint is how badly faded it is from the original. when you open the doors, the jambs are not even close to the color the car has faded to now. if i had black or white, all day. and redoing the clear would be good, but i have spots where the paint is going too.

Have had some seat time with my supercharger, definitely would prefer 285.75.17 with 4.56. Guess Ill have to blow up these gears and switch back!

With that said these motors rev so smooth its not a big deal. Not my daily so dont mind a few extra bucks on gas.

Biggest thing will be your front diff strength, anything that can be done to protect that 7.5" clamshell (including smaller tires and taller gears) is the way to go. Excited to hear your report!

I stay busier than I put on around here. Mainly, I block windows of time off and do ‘Flurry Technique’ on the truck after having all the right parts on hand and doing all the research work upfront. Sometimes I ‘Pre-game Visualize’ as a quickie dry run prior to the actual work.

Suck and filled the PS Rez just to finish off the little bit left in a gallon bottle thats been taking up room. Added some silicone shims under the passenger seat lever arm to create some back pressure to eliminate a slight rattle when no one is seated there. Prior, I’ve just adjusted the seat fully back past the lock point but when doing hard stops it resets and the rattle begins until pushed back again.

Tomorrow I’ll be checking the ABS Rear Sensor Holes for inspection of leaks. Didn’t get to do it today as I had work at Dereks Center take precedence.

Also tomorrow will be Rocker Panel Oiling and Rocker Square Fuzeit Day. Have some sound deadening to do in the back corners where I discovered access through the little seat belt slip panel.

Hey guys I've searched through the forums and around the web but am getting mixed opinions. I know that the front doors from the Sequoia are the same as the double cab tundra. But are the trim mouldings same as well? I have read both yes and no from multiple people lol.

I found a driver door moulding off an 03 Sequoia. I'm in an 05 DC. The guy sent me pictures of it and compared it to my measurements and it seems like it's an exact fit by comparing measurements and picture to my other side. I don't mind painting it to match my truck. But does anyone know if they are the same or not? Thanks for any perspective.

Thanks, it's a hell of a lot of work. I hit the 12 hour mark today, but like @Professional Hand Model I don't have a ton of time. This week has been a little slow for a change, might only work 50hrs vs the normal 60-70 so I crammed in as many damn hours as I could here and there.

Finished the full driver side and front about an hour ago. Pretty happy with the results. This is before applying 2x coats wax.

Changed front struts and added a 2"leveling kit on the front. This bitch fought me tooth, nail and claw. I worked harder than an ugly stripper to get it done, but I love the way it looks and it rides like a dream.

Hey friends, I've not been driving the Tundra much lately...except when AC is a must or real rain is in the forecast. (same thing)

I've been getting this Knock Sensor fault that trips the CEL and then dumps the truck into limp mode. It's always about 1.5miles from first start and doesn't seem to be totally weather dependent. I'm hoping it's a voltage/ground issue as the battery terminals on the truck are in a shameful state. (new terminals in the drawer, just been 'busy' with the other car or work or apocalypse and now the AC in my house is out) I clear the fault at the light 2 miles from my house and it doesn't come back until the next time the truck sits for a few days. It was very sporadic, but becoming more consistent and that means I need to actually fix it and not chalk it up to 'old trucks doing old truck things'.

DTC is P0328 - Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High.

I can only assume the actual sensors are in the valley below the intake manifold as with all v8s, so it's not likely to be a super quick fix to just pop a new sensor on there...if the sensor itself is even the problem. Any input/experience would be a huge help.
    TIA
