They are. In my blue bug I used to run a single 15 in a sealed box with an old Punch amp. Not a single rattle but it rattled house windows from the street. I later switched to a single 12 and an 800 watt Kenwood amp that seriously felt like a concert.

Now I'm married and I'm considering what I'll build for it. I have an old Type R 12, could use that. Might go a different route and build a deck with four 6.5s and a pair of 8s beneath it. Who knows, i just wanna drive them again.

I had oem and the ones that came with the deavers. I didn’t like how far the deaver ones stuck down, the oems tightened up and have full thread engagement so I’m happier with those.

rear brakes will be 2014 fj pads rotors and calipers with a working parking brake. Front brakes are tundra brakes. It’ll be running a sequoia master cylinder with the SOS adapter

Spray it on the tires and then wipe it in. If they are thirsty, then maybe do two applications back to back. The 303 goes a long way as you’ll find out. You only need a little.

For interior applications, I recco spraying it on a microfiber and then wipe it on. Helps save on the product and from getting on your windshield glass.

Haven't quite figured out a good switch location, but I'm working on it.

    Hard part is done!

Tedious work, but worth it. 4.25 hours with breaks included.

Keep an eye on those sticky blocks that you zip tied to. I did something similar inside my work van for late night on call action(I know I usually take the truck, but it was fun to do) and I used those stickies to hold some of the wires up, and they fell down after a while. I even cleaned the surfaces w IPA.
I know you’ve already got your toggle switch mounted, but you could also look for a hood switch, like they use for car alarms, that makes or breaks the circuit when you open the hood. You could then wire your switch as a kill switch if you didn’t want it automatically on when you opened the hood.

Thats a bummer to hear because I'd bet mine will do the same. Cleaned surfaces with IPA, and applied small doses of adhesion promoter.
I was looking around for a tilt switch, but didn't think about a hood switch. Neat idea!

I figured a toggle would be easy enough to replace if I ever have to.

Mounted the light strip in front of the hood weatherstrip. I was gling to mount it behind it in the green location.

    Heres my thoughts on that.

I figure if I'm trucking along and the front light strip decides to come loose for some weird reason that the weatherstrip, and the radiator will keep the light from getting in my fan.

Already did a little test drive. Putting around real easy. Nothing came loose. Not even a little.

    @empty_lord or anyone else.

Is this a safe jack point on our Rav4? Looked everywhere in the manual and can't find an answer. This runs horizontally across the front below the radiator.

2 more run length wise down the sides.

Fuzeit around those stickys as soon as you can. Load them up around the four sides with a nice bead and they’ll never go anywhere. Just keep them up and caulk around them. No need to remove.

The front should be fine. It’s reinforced there to do it

The side ones are a big NO

Opinion: Worth trying to fix a Tundra 4.7L with a broken timing belt? Or, is it even possible?

I’ve got 2 more years ‘left’ on my belt. Was replaced in 2012 at 110k miles. Sitting at 171k now.

I hope it never happens to anyone. The truck I saw had 400k miles on it and is selling ‘fairly’ cheap. They probably let it go too long? Was just curious if they can be brought back from the dead.

Man its been slim pickings on Dreggsliss. Historically, there were a few 1st Gens a week rolling through and they’d last 2 weeks tops. Now its nothing but 1 dogged out piece of crap on there a week. Even the 2000-06 Soccer Mom Sequoia page is non-existent when there were 5-6 nice ones a week for cheap!

    Whats going on?

They can. With a used engine. For a fair price if the trucks clean it’s worth it
