I replaced the stock 18” wheels on my ‘19 TRD Pro with 20s. Now, at 20k miles, I’m hearing a pretty bad creaking noise from the suspension. Is this a definite effect of the larger wheels? If so, what’s the solution (other than reverting back to stock)?

Check the torque on the wheels?

I have not, but the dealer recently rotated them so that might be the problem. Thanks.

Low speeds over bumps. Does not occur over flat surfaces.

Could be that the cab is misaligned on the frame. Saw this happen once on a new truck. Cab was off center and after the mount was worn enough, it's bolt would rub the frame. Sound was like a dry control arm bushing creaking. Was noticeable moving slow over a speed bump or just climbing into the truck. Dealership realigned cab and installed new mounts. Worth a look see if all else fails.

Well, lubricated and checked for loose bolts. No resolution. It sounds more and more like the driveshaft or perhaps steering. Shit idk.

Update: Problem solved, ended up being rubbing between the skid plate and the frame. Loosened the two rear bolts and wedged rubber between the plate and the frame. I used an old bicycle tube I had lying around. Worked, no more creaking. Found it on this post:

    None. Yet.
