    Happy New Years everyone.
For some reason my speakers stopped working. Stereo comes on, channels work just no sound coming from my speakers. It’s a stock system, not JBL.

That sucks well you can try a good reset disconnect your battery for a few minutes. Hope that works.

I know you said it’s the none jbl but check your owners manual go to fuses and just check any of them labeled radio or amp.

I’m not aware of any fuses that would blow just the speakers. More likely a setting or mute button accidentally touched? Maybe the old lady was a little tipsy last night looking for her favorite radio station and started mashing buttons...idk...

Could be the amp. I had one go out a year ago in my Infiniti and found used one on ebay.

Check the connections to the amp under the front passenger seat.

Even if the amp went out he would still be getting sound from the head unit? Or no??

If you have the dash tweeters, those are powered by the head unit, not by the amp under the passengers seat. (at least on my 2017 non jbl).

    Many pending.....
    Agree with this.
My understanding is that dash speakers are direct Power from head unit so would expect you would be able to hear something.

Do you get any other audible tones/sounds through system?

    Bluetooth calls?
    Navigation?

So non Jbl, and no amp right?

Have you pulled the head unit out recently?
If so, maybe the harness for the speakers is loose. Its been awhile but I think I remember there being separate harnesses for power and speakers ect.

You might also be able to pop the cover off of the center dash grill and see the back of the unit.

I'd say check the fade and balance to make sure they are in their default setting but the hard reset should have done that already.

Not sure, they did a hard restart on mines and it has worked fine since. Hopefully they figure your issue out quick.

Thanks for the link, I have had no issues since they got it working. I need to order some speakers and I should be good to go. Good to hear you got it working.

I have had this issues intermittently since about a week after I got the truck ( June of this year). I’ll turn it on it shows “audio off” turn on the radio, XM etc and everything works but no columns if you turn the knob the volume doesn’t even change. If I turn off the truck and turn it back on it will come back on, sometimes I have to turn the truck off twice . Super annoying. I do have the JBL HU though.

no idea I have read about other people having the same issue and having to have their HU firmware updated and it fixed the issue. I haven’t had my first service yet truck only has 1,100 miles but when I do I’m going to bring it up.

Mine hasn't done it in a while...I have replaced the jbl amp and speakers. And that's when mine started doing it but hasn't done it in weeks.

Exact same issue with mine. The only thing that can get the volume back is disconnecting the battery for 30secs and reconnecting it.

If you push and hold the stereo power button it will reset. And you should hear sound again. It will power off and restart.

Resetting the head unit by holding the power button doesn't fix this. Have done that dozens of times and the volume doesn't come back. Disconnecting the battery is the only fix.

Record it the next time it act up. Show it to your dealership. See what they can do under warranty. That got to be very annoying every time it act up like that. Might also be a sign to go aftermarket?

Have aftermarket stereo in mine, no sound. Put factory back in, no sound. Went 2 weeks with no sound with aftermarket and today I turned it on and it worked. I turned the volume up and it quit again. I have a 2012 crewmax non jbl. Everything says the factory head unit was the amp. But there has to be an amp somewhere for it to kill all speakers at once.

Check under the passenger seat. There should be 2 fuses for the amp in the engine bay fuse box, but more than likely your amp is toast. There are a few threads floating around about bypassing the amp, though, which you’ll probably want to do since your aftermarket HU probably has more power than the amp.
