Bilstein 5100s up front set at the highest setting or one step down should do it. This would only lift the front 1.5-2" and no lift in the back. Levels the truck out and helps with rubbing. Still might need to do the CMC.

Hi Brian, Just wanted to thank you for doing such a great job. It's a shame some people sit on there butts not helping others but are ready to criticize when they think they know more. Just wanted you to know you are appreciated.

so in theory i could "level" my truck from the rear with drop shackles instead of going all out with an axel flip. is there any way to correct cons listed above ?

Hi Brian, Hate to be a pest but could recommend a lift for me. I have air bags in rear so probably 2 1/2" in the front. I want long life and good ride quality without losing travel. I don't off road much just a little exploring once every year or two with nothing hard core ( I might be a sissy). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Fred.

Old Man EMU or similar. Little rougher of a ride, but they are built solid.

I called 4wheeler to order the Old Man EMU and they talked me into buying the Bilisteins 5100. I was wondering why would I need rear Bilisteins when the height is just fine.

With the Bilstein 5100 front shocks you have to use your stock coils. They have several settings 0-2.4" lift. You can go to the top height and still get full range out of the shock. Others have said they don't ride too stiff. You can either just do that height or pair it with 1" rear block so that you are just a little higher in the rear. The rear Bilsteins are extended length from stock so they give you 1" or so more travel. They are also a better ride than stock.

The OME kit comes with a new spring. You can pay a little extra and get them put together for you so all you have to do is swap Coilovers. No need for a spring compressor at home this way. They are set to 2.5" front lift. The come with 1" rear block so you should be slightly higher in the rear but not buy much.

The Toytec boss kit is the best suspension I have had yet. Smooth on the road and takes up bumps nice. Price is little over $1200. Fully adjustable front Coilovers. I have mine set around 3.25" font and 1" rear at the moment. The kit comes with 1 or 1.5" rear block. I opted for the rear shackles that are a little extra.

If the Bilstein all around setup lifts the front about 2.5 inches and then the rear goes up 1 inch the truck is still not level correct or is it too minimal to really notice , Thanks in advance , sawz.

It all depends on what you have. DC or crewmax. DC's are higher in the back due to pivot point and amount of load capability. CM has a shorter bed so shorter pivot and less load capability, therefore the CM bed height lies a little lower than the DC.
Either way if it's PERFECTLY level, the way the lines are on our tundras, it would look nose high. My 12 DC has a 1" block in the back with a 3" set suspension in front and looks perfect to me. Measurements are 1.25 higher in the back and looks level from all angles (aesthetically speaking)

I would say a 3/1 or a 2.5/0 level is a good rule of thumb. Although, every truck is different so it could be off my a half inch, which could make a big difference in perception.

You'd still have roughly a 1" rake. Perfect IMO.

    Go for it brother!

where does one buy the Bilstein 6112 pre assembled , I could install but never compress the spring without renting tools and is that the better way to get the front up near level or do spacers work just fine , thanks in advance for thoughts .

Stay away from spacers. They kill your ride quality and increases chances of a broken or blown shock.
I had spacers before getting my BOSS kit.
You can probably get the bilsteins preassembled at some 4wp location or off-road store that carries them. Not sure if you can order them like that online.
