history and full disclosure.

i am the 2nd owner of this vehicle and have owned it for 5 years. i knew the original owner when he bought it new. it has been Supercharged since ~ 30k miles(no sure of the exact year it went on). previous owner towed a 20' trailer many times a year to the mountains and desert.

2 years ago ~ April 2018, the transmission started slipping and was replaced by the truck shop in San Diego (if you're local, you know these guys are the best for Toyota service). a few months later, the Radiator had failed and caused the engine to overheat resulting in the Driver's side head getting a crack. i ended up replacing the motor and radiator (again the Truck shop did this work) due to cost of repair was ~ the same as cost of a replacement motor. new/used motor had approximately 96k miles on it. This work was done with ~ 132k miles on the odometer, and i have had zero issues with this engine since.

occasionally i have trouble getting the 4lo actuator to engage, especially when cold. i have to drive a bit in 4hi, let things warm up, then it typically goes into 4lo without much trouble. actuator may need attention, but this has never been diagnosed.

rear window defroster only works on a few of the lines, rear window must have been lowered with something that rubbed the rest of them. never bothered fixing

yes it freaking fast!

 

so one of the main reasons for selling is my oldest kid is graduating college, and i just don't need a monstrous 3-row SUV, so downsizing until the 2023 4runner comes out, since that's pretty much the only thing on my radar...

have only wheeled it about 3-4 times unfortunately, my off road group went into lockdown....

Tried to convince the wife to upgrade our Sequoia... she loves yours, but doesn’t know why she what she would do with all of the awesomeness..

she’d prefer to wait until we can buy something newer...and more expensive
