preferably in the 295/70 R18 size:

Google search seems pretty split on the specs of this tire carrying a 3peak snowflake designation. Some reviews claim the tire has it ( cooper-tires-discoverer-at3-review); ( https://www.themanual.com/auto/cooper-discoverer-at3-xlt-tire-review/ )

where others only attribute it to the AT3 4S model. https://www.tirebuyer.com/education/cooper-discoverer-at3-review-buyers-guide

any actual owners here (again preferably in the size mentioned) able to confirm / deny?

    Thank you.

3 peak ratings can depend on the size for sure, not just Cooper but any manufacturer. my 275/70s XLTs are 3 peak, verified.

I think the easiest most reliable way to find out on that size would be to contact Cooper. Below is the contact info for you.

You got your answer. The 3 peak symbol would be right there next the the M+S stamp. So not 3 peak rated in this size.

I posted this on another thread after I reached out to Cooper a few weeks ago. Here are the AT3 XLT sizes that have the 3PMSF rating:

    31x10.50R15
    LT275/70R18
    LT265/70R18
    LT265/60R20
    LT275/60R20
    LT275/65R20
    LT275/55R20

    Hope this answers your question.

Wow. Overwhelmingly great info guys. Thanks everyone. Looks like they're still M+S rated in the 295 size (no slouch in the snow either). Thank you.

you might be the closest to me in terms of decent snowfall. How would you say they handle in some of the varying North East snow conditions?

Wish I could answer but I just put them on about 2 weeks ago so nothing to go on yet with regards to performance in the snow.

I have been in some deep snow (~10-12”) and they work very well. Surprised at how quiet these tires are. Also not surprised at how fast they have been wearing. 16k miles and 50% worn. Tires that work well never seem to last...but I would rather have a tire work well for a shorter period than have a tire last forever that sucks.

Look on both sides. I'm not sure if it's like the date code, but the date code is only on one side of the tire.

Gotcha. Thanks. we just had a little 3" dusting that was kind of slushy too this morning. My 50k KO2s were a little loose in the driveway. put it in 4hi and tracked back up. But I think it's time.

Awesome. I'm the same way. I was waiting til our 1st snowfall to see how my old KO2s performed, but as I stated above, it's time to replace.

*edit* Just remembered you are running a ¾-ton torque monster too. I'd guess that is factoring in your wear rate. I bet I'd get 40kish w/o much effort.

That has a lot to do with it. Half way through my 3rd set of tires at 56840 miles. If I could safely get to 40k miles, I would be jumping up and down.

I've got almost 10k on mine which were installed in February. Tread depth looks great at this point.

Don’t these tires have a 60k tread warranty?

Yes...thankfully. My next set of Michelin’s will be a lot cheaper after prorating these coopers.

Sadly or not sadly depending on your perspective we only got rain, I guess I was too far west but not as far west as the Berkshires to get any of the snow that fell over the weekend.
