I know Toyota has a good practice of putting buttons on concealed or blind locations. In most cases those are not essential switches, but sometimes it applies to daily use ones.
In Tundra (non-Platinum trim) for some unknown reason Toyota decided to put Seat Warmer switch under the central console in most further spot from driver as one can imagine. You don't see it at all and to push it one need to do a "magic" move of the hand and search for a switch somewhere in the dark. Why? I can't understand why the did this...
Did anyone tried to relocate the switch somewhere more accessible? Can the OEM switch be reused or even use one from another vehicle or aftermarket?
It's so inconvenient as it is in factory location.

I’m not sure I’m following you - there’s only one spot for factory seat warmer switches in the Gen 3 that I know of, and that is in the lower part of the AC controls. I don’t consider that concealed or blind - they light up and are easy to find for me at least.

This does sound like it was added aftermarket... could have been added by the dealership.

A pic of the switches? I’m about to add my switches (aftermarket) for my heated seats. Not 100% where yet

When the dealer had my katzkin leather installed with heated seats they put the buttons on the sides of the seats. Not too inconvenient for the driver or passenger - but I’d prefer the factory location or somewhere on the center console so I can see both switches to confirm passenger didn’t leave them on.

Here’s a recent post with location I’m thinking of trying to relocate to:

This is Platinum trim only, because it has Warmer/Cooling feature.
On all other trims its basic Warmer and the push button switch is down beside the cigarette lighter adapter

No, OEM Factory Switch for Seat Warmers on non-Platinum models is hidden all the way down to the right behind the forward cap holder beside cigarette lighter adapter

I don’t think so. The 2020/2021 Pro and the Limited both have the warmer buttons up on the dash, exactly like in the picture, and they don’t have air conditioned seats.

@AlexJet unless you post pictures it's hard for us to really help you. It's possible this is new for 2021 models or if you are Canadian. Otherwise, what you are saying doesn't line up with any of our past experience which is why no one is agreeing with you that its OEM. Post pictures and we can help confirm if this is factory or aftermarket.
But it shouldn't be difficult to move a switch. If they don't have excess wire you can splice some in. I have aftermarket seat heaters and the buttons are right in front of the center console and I like the location.

Could be US version. In Canada Limited has been replaced with Premium and no longer available since 2018. Only Platinum and 1794 has the switch for Warm/Cool seats under the Climate Control.
I'm wondering if harness is the same or different for US Limited and Canadian Premium?

I wanted Limited, but had to go with Premium as Limited has been discontinued. Premium has Leather seats, Climate Control and Sunroof as Limited used to have

This photo shows thermostat controls from a 2018 Canadian SR5 TRD Offroad. Underneath the middle dial you can see the seat warmer switch. I’m assuming since Toyota added USB ports in 2020/2021 they moved this switch all the way to the right. Is this what your talking about OP?

Its OEM Toyota. I got my 2021 new from the dealer and I was the first to check it when it was unloading from the truck which brought it from the TX factory, so yes, it OEM Toyota.
I'll post up a picture later. Somehow it does not allow me to do it from my phone, need to open the thread from PC.

Yes, absolutely. This Seat Warmer switch is now all the way on the right beside the Cigarette Lighter adapter.

So you have parking sensor and traction control switches to the left of the seat warmer switch? And then usb ports to the left of those?

You could probably swap it with the traction control switch. Just have to take that panel off and see how much wire you have. If you want to move it further than that you’ll have to add length of wire.

Ha! I researched the s*** out of Tundras for two years before buying mine. I discovered that Canadian model Tundras have different options than US versions. All the SR5 upgrade packages include seat warmers, moon roof, and engine block warmers. Canadian TRD Pro’s (even the early one’s) also include parking sensors. Every now and then you can find a used Canadian version Tundra with these bonus options in the US.

Very odd configuration and only a single switch that controls both seats as mentioned. Odd.

I’d say swap it with the traction control switch. Shouldn’t be an issue. No matter what, it being way down there is not the most ideal location, but it would get you a little closer.

Exactly that or I was thinking of right here with two small circle switches kind of angled down. Also the light will help illuminate by the shifter maybe 7B27BAB3-7B6C-4988-BBF1-8F299D523491.jpg7B27BAB3-7B6C-4988-BBF1-8F299D523491.jpg

So the root of it is that it’s a Canadian-spec truck, and that’s why 90% of us had no idea what you were talking about. All US trucks that come with them from the factory have them in the AC control module (For Gen3).

Does that button have two “half-buttons”? One for the left seat and one for the right? Seeing 4 wires to that plug, I’m guessing it does. You might be able to solder and extend those wires and install two aftermarket switches like cpc0812 showed in his picture. Depends on how much you feel like chopping into your brand new truck. Otherwise, as others have mentioned, you could swap it with the Tow/Haul button (still would require extending wires) but that will be terribly inconvenient for the passenger!
