Is there anyone who has tried using an amplified antenna to boost signal with a smaller antenna height than OEM?

Also very curious about this! Shorty antennas look awesome on the Tundra. However today I’m getting a rack installed on my canopy and I’m thinking my stock antenna may be the same height, so I might have to keep it for reference going into parking garages

This has been my single biggest complaint on the tundra. I came over from a 4Runner. The FM radio reception in the tundra is simply awful. I tried a stubby antenna and the reception was worse. Was thinking about an FM booster but the rear of the radio doesn’t have the traditional metal pin to plug into so not sure how to go about it.

I switched out the stock for an Antenna X 13 inch and have zero issues, no loss in reception

I wonder if the fins on the new Tundras are better than our long stock antennas.

I’ve tried three different 7” stubby antenna’s and all of them have produced lousy reception. Are we sure the back of the radio doesn’t have a traditional plug in for the antenna?

Can the newer model shark find be adapted to the earlier models without much modification? Aside from attaching to roof ... ?
