    I'm looking at a 2018 sr5sport crewmax low km
    And a 2020 or offroad sr5 crewmax.

they are around 4 grand apart .

wondering if in those two years there was much of a difference ? Anything of significance?

I currently have a 2018 Platinum. My neighbor currently has a 2020 SR5. Differences between the years that I know of are: 2020 has push button start
    2020 has a larger stereo/entertainment screen
2020 LED blinkers/running lights function differently than earlier makes
However, 2020 does NOT have a transmission cooler as this was discontinued after 2018 for some dumbass reason.
Not sure about differences with the 2021 models, but I am sure that others will chime in.

2020 also has Android Auto/Apple Car Play. But the SR5 doesn't actually get push button start, if that affects your decision.

Not sure about Canada specs but in the US, the upgraded packages on SR5’s get push start

2018s have a transmission cooler with the tow package. 2020s do not have an external cooler. It would need to be added to a 2020 if desired.

2018 doesn't have TSS. No adaptive cruise control, no lane keep assist.

My bad. In Canada, you have to go up to one of the TRD packages to get push start.

In the States 2020's with the TRD Off-road package get LED lights, updated infotainment with Android auto and apple car play, dual zone climate, smart key access w/ remote start. The seats appear to be the same but I believe they put better foam in them cause they are definitely more comfortable then my 2016. Your also getting a vehicle that is two years newer and potentially has warranty left.

What your losing is the transmission cooler which is hotly debated as to if it's really needed or not and the CD player.

If it were me, it would be worth the 4 to 5 grand difference. If your going to get stuck with the TSS crap either way better to get one that has a few more years of working out the bugs then the first year they offered it.

Things must have been packaged differently in the US vs Canada. My Canadian SR5 TRD Off Road has TSS with adaptive cruise.

Your 2018 Canadian truck has TSS? Do you know the build date? I'm going to check my inlaws truck the next time I'm over.

Yes, it would appear that ALL Canadian 2018's got TSS-P, regardless of configuration or trim.

I would say that the only way his in-law's truck doesn't have TSS-P is if it's a 2017 or earlier.

I gotta say that in 2018, the TRD Off-Road was a very compelling package over the regular SR5. With the TRD Off Road Package I got the TRD wheels, the bigger 7" display with Nav, Bilstein shocks, clearance/backup sensors, Anti-Theft, skid plates, auto-dimming rearview mirror w/ compass, Moonroof, and the LED headlamps/foglamps (I LOVE those LED's, they're awesome!!!).

It was only a few grand more to get the TRD Off-Road over the basic SR5. The jump to the Limited was quite a bit more, and all you get extra in the Limited over the TRD is 'vinyl leather', auto climate control, and some exterior trim pieces.
