    Greetings fellow Tundra Brothers

I recently bought a 2006 work truck with the 4.7 engine and no cruise control or intermittent wipers. After some internet research, I visited the local pick-a-part today and harvested a cruise control switch from a 2008 Camry, along with the wire that runs to the spiral connector. When I got home, I discovered the wire is different on a Tundra. It appears I need 84633-34010, which is no longer available and supersedes to 84633-60010, which the Cool Springs Toyota site says won't fit. Anyone have a workaround for this in their hip pocket?

I installed cruiser by adding the pins to the factory connector the horn was on originally.. as for intermittent wipers, those are plug and play with the stalk.

That is going to be my plan as well. I have a factory service manual and wiring diagram downloaded, so hopefully I can figure out which positions to put the wires into.

I had an issue with the intermittent wipers also. The switch from the donor car is held in by a clip. On my truck, the switch is held in by two phillips head screws. Different part, darn it.

You have the newer style switch. You have to find a switch out of a tundra or 1st gen taco, 3rd gen 4runner. Etc

Aah, that makes sense. Digging around on the Toyota Overstock site, I think I need 846520C021. It looks like it crosses over to the 2005-2008 Solara. They have a 2006 that I will take a look at tomorrow.

If it has a matching fog light switch, grab it too. Your truck is likely prewired for fog lights like mine. Just need a fog light relay, the assemblies, and the switch. (Or you could wire the 9006 connectors to some aftermarket fogs)

I was able to find the right intermittent wiper control, so that's fixed. Does anyone know which positions the cruise control wires go into on this connector in the steering column? I am having trouble deciphering the wiring diagram and figuring it out for myself. I believe 2002-2006 year model Tundras all have the correct cable and connector, part 84633-34010. If anyone has a picture from when they added cruise to their truck, it would help me so much!

I’ll see if I can find my old cable... my steering control cable had it already wired

I sourced my cruise control stalk from a Camry and the connector is different. Man, if you can find that old cable and post up a picture of which pins to use, it would help me so much. A gentleman on another forum put up a complete PDF of instructions and even has a photo showing the connector. He did it when the correct cable was still available though, so he didn't focus on which pins are used. For posterity, here is his PDF instruction sheet.

I'm pretty much there! I have read through that and have plans to head down the same path. I like the manual windows and I like the rubber floor mat. The power locks would be a nice upgrade. I'm also thinking of ditching the bench seat and putting in bucket seats with a center console. Just need a supply of donor vehicles!

Buckets are soo much better for sure. Check your interior fuse block. If the front plug is green on the fuse block, you have the fuse block to be plug and play.

best find a donor with it all at once. The heated mirrors are also amazing to have in the winter

    Fun fact.

This is how I started my mess. Intermittent wipers and cruise... it spiraled from there

07 is a wee bit different. But still all plug and play.

I just bought an 06 Tundra Base model with 48k and no CC... with the help of this forum, I installed it myself! The Stalk is all I needed (did not need the harness). All I had to do was remove the red and black wires from the stalk and put it in the clip already on the steering wheel and CC works flawlessly! The truck was perfect, with the exception of lack of CC, but now it is totally perfect! Thank you to all of the Tundra enthusiasts. My knee thanks you!!
