my Tundra is a 2003 4.7 4x4, I was wondering what size lift I would need to be able to fit 33x12.50 tires on it with little to no rub?

I'd think a 2.5" level kit with wheels that have an offset of +18 to +35mm ought to do the trick. Or if you want to stick with the stock wheels you'll need 1.25" spacers.

My first gen 3 had the XP package and came factory with 275/60/20 which is right at 33"

You can fit a 285/70r18 on a 2.5in lift easy. You'll have about a an inch at full crank.

But those are signicantly skinnier than a 33x12.5

Go with 275/70, that's just around 11 and you won't see a difference. If you're looking for the wide look, run spidertrax or a wheel with a decent offset

I had the old DR coilovers set at roughly 2.5in in the front with 285/75/16 tires on my 2005 Tundra AC. When the tires were brand new I had a little rub on full turn.

2.5" up front and you can clear them. 3" up front and an inch or so out back and you can clear 35s even.
