hey, my brother-in-law has a 1st gen tundra and is having a trouble with his blower motor and was just wondering what the most common problem is with the blower motor, is is the motor itself or the resistor, and what is the simplest test to do to check out the issue, and info would greatly be appreciated

Does he have some speeds and not others, or nothing at all?

Since he already changed the motor, next thing I would do is check to see if its getting power at the connector.

Probably the Blower Motor Resistor. Its located in the box next to the Blower. Remove the Harness Clip. Watch out for the Servo Cable thingie running in front. Two screws to remove the vertical shaped ‘Resistor’ cover thats attached to a Ceramic Block via Copper Prongs.

Ohms test Resistor and go from there. They cost about $25 OEM.

the problem with the blower not working ended up being a loose connection in the connector that plugs into the blower motor, had taken connector apart tightened up the connection inside the plug, plugged back in and all was good , thanks for all the info and help
