Previous owner must have been robust... it feels like I am sitting in a wok.

    Repad and Reupholster?
    Seat cover?
    Seat cushion?

I am leaning towards a full seat cover... had some on my XJ that were kinda like a wet suit. Little bit of extra padding and you could snug it up to ‘pull’ the original seat back together-ish. plus I am not reall a fan of leather seats....

I get easily overwhelmed with Google searches... so what have members here used/ done to firm up a saggy butt cushion?

Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Have you considered steaming the foam.
I've seen this method done in a upholstery shop.
    They used a garment steamer.

    My 2¢

The effective use of Robust and Wok in the same sentence is priceless. Kudos!

For my 06 4runner I took it to a trusted shop and they built a new bottom cushion for the driver side. All good and wished I had done it sooner.

You may be able to find a replacement cushion somewhere. When I was looking however, the replacement cushions available were pricey, the shop built a new one and installed it for about 100 more than the replacements I was able to find. It made a huge improvement in comfort.

I know a retired auto body repair guy, who most likely knows a good auto upholstery place. Thinking of reaching out to him...

I have a hard time remembering back 15 years to working on those seats but some of the Toyota front bucket cushions were interchangeable. You can compare the passenger cushion to the driver cushion. If they are the same then swap them out. Passenger side generally gets very little wear.
As mentioned earlier, you can steam the foam to help it plump up a bit. Yours sounds like it’s broken down pretty bad though.
