Is it legal for you do put those on your personal vehicle in your state? I know mine only allows for volunteer firefighters to do that w/auth from the local fire chief. Even then they can only be a specific color, type and combo.

Red and Blue are typically not legal, but orange and white are legal. Construction vehicles, including pickup trucks working alongside the road, are actually required by law to have strobe lights. Anyone can have them. If you get a flat tire and have to stop on the shoulder to change it out it would be a good idea to have it and would be perfectly legal. What would be illegal is if you use it to your advantage such as making slow traffic in front of you move out of your way so you can pass etc.

Hi guys. I'm from NY; UPSTATE NY that is! I just bought a 2014 Tundra Limited double cab.
I am a firefighter. As a fire fighter, we in NY can run blue lights, chiefs can run red. I prefer to maintain a low profile with my lights though. I was hoping to see some Tundra emergency lighting projects other guys did to their trucks but maybe not many out there?

The lowest profile is to put strobe lights in your grill or even in the hood scoop.

Thanks Guys! I was definitely considering puting the lights in the upper grill/hood scoop. 19h341, that sure looks cool but no I would never spend the money to do that and I prefer to remain anonymous unless I'm responding to a call.

Tomar lights like @KevinK If you stick your head out the window and yell Beeyoo Beeyoo Beeyoo, all the cars get out of your way. No lie, I’ve seen Kevin do it.

Yes, but we don't run lights on our POV's so nothing to show.

I have some that were on the truck when I bought it, pretty well hidden when off, but decent when turned on. Excuse the pics, tough to catch them when they're lit.IMAG0301.jpg IMAG0300.jpg

but for real OP - Tomar has what you’re looking for in all colors.

Check under the law enforcement section and look for undercover stuff.

Hey Brett, how are the LEO's up there with the blue lights? According to NYS Vehicle & Traffic Law section 374.41(4) , a volunteer firefighter can only have 1 blue light on their personal vehicle and have a blue card from the fire chief. Wouldn't want you to waste any "Mod Money."

We see it as the more lights the better that way we are seen when out in the road, some guys have a dimmer on there lights so we can tune them down so we’re not blinding oncoming traffic as much

Oh yeah, ask them how may drunks have crashed due to the lights. You would be on a traffic stop and they would crash into you or something near you.
