None of this matters to me unless its a V8. Keeping my 17'.

The first post about it in this thread was a guy linking it from tfl... What's with all the tfl hate on here? I like their reviews...

Even if it’s pushing 20mpg’s and payload close to 2k lbs?

Yessir. I just love the V8 and don't carry load or tow. Sounds like it will be pushing 20 mpgs and have a solid payload and from the pics its looks fricken sweet but, Im sticking to my guns. I can tell you everyday I drive to work or wherever Im totally satisfied with the beast- pretty sure that will not be the case with a V6 or Hybrid or whatever- and Im assuming the new one aint gonna be cheap.

Damn that truck looks huge with the bigger bed. That and those tires look really skinny in some of those pictures.

    A bunch
One way to increase fuel mileage. Helps reduce rolling resistance.
The chin spoiler catches my attention, the weird cutouts must be for some weird aerodynamic voodoo. Just them digging for every MPG.

I also wonder if the 2 different variants we see in the spy shots if one is the hybrid and one is just the regular gas engine whether that be TT6 or a v8 is TBD.

They’re wildly biased. I really liked their videos when I first saw them, until I started noticing how the Raptor can do no wrong in their eyes, and every other truck pales in comparison in their reviews. Their videos started to seem less, and less informational, and more pandering.

That’s just my opinion, and my experience.

I liked the tfl videos but the advertising is getting a bit much. I think the love of the raptor is valid, especially if there only doing 1 year reviews on them. They never have them long enough to show the serious issues. And toyotas great reliablitiy doesn't come into play in a year.

if someone was just going to hand me a really expensive truck to review and I got to test it all out and just give an opinion on it for that test and didn't have to have it long term?

who would not pick the TRX, 700HP? sounds fun to me and the Ram interiors are nice

now back to reality, I wouldn't buy one of those, and I have bought ram in the past.

Hearing that that Chevy/GM is dropping the 4.6L from the lineup and going 2.7 I4, 3.0 Duramax, and V8s. I know Ford sells a ton their 2.7s. Makes me
Yes, yes we do. With hearing GM/Chevy is dumping the 4.6L from the full size for 2022, maybe there is a glimmer of hope.

Make a super small displacement, fuel efficient (if there is such a thing in a full size truck) 2.7L for dudes that prefer fuel economy and/or peeing sitting down. Then make a giant, growling V8 for those that prefer to actually load their truck up and tow something. Makes sense to me.

If gas hits $5 or $6 a gallon, we will be in a major recession and not many will be buying anything. A few will have to sell their pricey super cars and gas guzzling super trucks. I will be out they're buying them up. Love it when demand for the things that I like goes down, so I can pick them up cheap.

Seriously, even if fuel prices double, it takes years to recoup the depreciation, sales tax consequences, fees, etc associated with changing vehicles. Poor Fuel economy is the about the cheapest expense associated with a vehicle.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited for the new 2022 it will have some payload and towing upgrades based on everything have seen.
I need it so bad, I'm way over payload!
Did the airbags, Equalizer WDH and Roadmasters. everything helped and tows pretty nice but not legal. Riding Dirty!
9,500lbs fully loaded and 1,200 tongue weight.
selling this 2008 baby as soon as I can get the new 2022.
It has served me well and have no complaints. so much power, I have never had any issues pulling up any of the steep grades in California.

Gas gets to $5-6 it won't change my desire for a v8. If that's marketing plan they need to rethink it. Maybe they want to sell it internationally and are willing to shed the caveman v8 drivers. I will look elsewhere for my next truck if no v8 is offered.

Nice going from 1st yr production (basically) to new 1st yr production. I'm excited Toyota is all in on new Tundra but will wait until at least 2025 to make jump. Even then, depending on feedback/reviews ... probably going to hang on to my 16. Your 2008 looks brand new, keep that beauty !

TFL is all about pumping out content, of course they dislike Toyota trucks the most as they have the longest development cycles. Hard to do videos on a platform that is 10+ years old, I would bet they will be buying a new Tundra for a series once it's released.

I'm sure it'll stay, maybe come off for the TRD Pro. As long as they go GM style and it's easy to take off and doesn't hide a bundle of wires (I'm about to snap those wires on my F250) I don't care if it comes with it.
