I happened to be in my storage unit today an peeked at my summer wheels. They're certainly not quite as flat/matte as @Rex Kramer's look in his picture, but they're also not glossy. More of a satin or slightly muted gloss. But I'm probably splitting hairs.

I would say mine could be considered a satin finish.

That's fair. Yours also look a little muted from what looks like a little drive on a rainy day, contributing to my perception.

Very confusing. The link you provided for the 2019 says in the description MATTE Black. When I checked the Sparks Parts site, this number says for the Sequoia only. I don't know about that. Regardless, I haven't seen any Tundras with this wheel in glossy black. Maybe one of our members with a '19 Tundra Pro can comment or post a pic of their BBS wheels.

I have wheels from a '19, but I don't think that the one picture I have is of good enough quality to determine if it's gloss/matte without a reference.

The 2019 part number on Sparks says:

    Description:
Does not include center cap. Requires part number PT280-34190-02.

This comes on the 2019 Tundra TRD Pro and has an offset of +60mm.

Can we believe how dealers describe the wheels? Can we believe how Toyota describes the wheels? From the Official Toyota Parts online website:

    #1 Option - PT960-34190-02

CorsoTundra (Matt) had replied to another member on his posting that the wheel I bought from him was the same finish as those on his 2020 Pro. The (3) PT960-34190-02 wheels I just bought from McGeorge Toyota's online site are identical to the below wheel that I bought from Matt. I could understand if the "matte" and "flat" black descriptions are just being used interchangeably and it's really the same wheel. However, I'd like to see a picture of a "glossy" black BBS Pro as I don't think this could be confused with a matte or flat black description. I don't think I've seen a glossy BBS Pro wheel before unless the difference is so subtle its hard to tell. Just to add some confusion, I wouldn't describe the finish on the PT960-34190-02 wheels as exactly flat or matte black. I think Rex Kramer's "satin" finish description is more accurate. The BBS Pro wheel finish mystery continues...

Theirs 100.000 people working for Toyota I would expect. Everyone has a different interpretation describing matte, satin or flat. If there was one person in charge of wheels, then there wouldn’t be a problem.

I really want those wheels, nothing aftermarket really interests me unless I spend $4k.

Good points and probably what creates confusion. Good luck too in your wheel hunting! Don't forget the black lug nuts...I did.

Someone will eventually correct you by mentioning that they're actually 18s...;)

To me, this is gloss black, and every other photo in this thread so far would seem to me to be a satin/matte.

But I do not believe that these are the BBS forged wheels. I think these are pre-2019 wheels - manufacturer unknown.

Correct, just using them for the "gloss"/Toyota/Tundra/Pro comparison. I wanted to try to get as many things in common while highlighting the matte/satin/gloss differences.

Okay - I am trying to un-confuse myself (before I buy) which is really hard. I am still baffled by the price differential - unless TPMS is included with the more expensive wheels.

I would highly doubt the TPMS are included. The same with the center caps, separate purchase. No idea on the rationale for the price differences for the different part numbers of the BBS wheels...

I believe these are the Pro Wheels from 2014 to 2018. I believe they are painted versions of the TRD OFF Road wheels that are black with a machined face with a red TRD center cap. They are currently used on the Tundra SX, (Canadian black out edition, black center with Toyota emblem).

Is the center hole on the BBs forged large enough to go into the spare position? I ask this because the 1st gen BBS (Darrel Waltrip version) had a center hole that was too small to work as a spare on my Tacoma.

    I would expect so....
What year Tacoma? 1995.5-2014 Tacomas used the same sized hub flanges. I know relatively little about the 2015+ Tacomas.

Finally feeling that the weather is going to be cooperative enough that I can remove my winter wheels. So here's the wheel I have, whatever finish it is...

2013. The flange is the same as 1st and 3rd gen, but the 1st gen tundra bbs wheels narrowed down to a small center hole.
