Hi all, I "accidentally" bought a dual exhaust kit for my 2020, installation was a breeze and it sounds great. It looks and sounds like the flow master for half the cost.

Anyone have any thoughts or warnings? I'll post my rig again soon.

So far so good, Nothing has shifted or moved and i've been driving all day, I love the sound. Does anyone know why RC has such a bad background?

I ran Flowmaster before and now have the DD system. The DD performs so much better. The Flowmaster is a noisemaker compared to a DD system.

I honestly prefer the drone, its a truck afterall and if I wanted a quiet car, i'd drive a Corolla. I'm pretty happy with mine and I didn't break the bank. Short term i'm pretty happy with noise and fuel economy. Startup isn't much different from stock (though its deeper tone) and it really preforms well when you're driving, it sounds alot better than stock. Of course I can't tell you long term issues because I haven't gotten there but check this post in a year or so.

I gotcha. My DD 8" has drone between 60 and 70 but that's bc I chose to not use the resonator. I like noise too...between exhaust, my stereo system, and being a prior jet engine mechanic when I was AD. Exhaust systems can and do vary in performance, but we can all tell you that as you do mods, do not waste money on an aftermarket cold air intake. They do not work on these trucks, and we already have cold air from the factory.

Hmmm.. Noted. I was considering putting a genuine TRD cold air intake on her, what do you think about that? Good? Bad?

Also, I loved the drone (what little I could hear with hearing protection) of an Abrams when I was a tanker so I know exactly what you mean. lol

Are you talking from experience? This isn't a lift kit, its an exhaust.

There is a huge thread on intakes....I'm sure there is some TRD stuff in there.

What is your thought and experience on the newer rough country lift kits?

From what i'm reading it sounds like they're just an expensive noise maker and don't actually increase performance since the stock does a great job already.

There are a few members on here than run them. I had a Readylift 3/2 spacer kit for a year and a half. Rode rough as hell. I'm riding on a Toytec Aluma coilover system now.....much better.

Yep....most of us do the SABM and install a drop in filter. The AFE Pro Dry S is a popular one.

Interesting, you just saved me $450. I almost bought the trd CAI yesterday but wanted to do more research. What about thoughts on a snorkel?

I purchased a tonneau cover from them and it lasted a week before falling apart. I’d buy certain stuff from them just like Harbor Freight. If you don't live in a salt state like me the S409 wont do a problem and if it sounds good then that’s all that matters.
TRD intake is a waste. Replace the intake tube, drop in filter like Tundra234 said and the TRD Flow Accelerator that’s a TRD intake for a fraction of the price. If you’re feeling sassy do the SABM and TB Bypass.

edit: imho snorkels on our truck look badass and I’ve thought about it. I just can’t sneak that mod by the ole ball and chain. Lol.
Going to buy that shirt right now lol.
