So I have gathered prices in my local area (SoCal) for a slew of different options and now I just can’t make up my mind. Hope you guys can provide some insight as to what route to take.

    Front and rear bumpers:

    Vinyl wrap over chrome $370

Powder coated $350 (I do the disassembly and reassembly)

Line-X $600 (The local shop says their white will fade to yellow over time)

I am currently trying to price out factory Toyota parts to swap over to the resin/plastic color matched. Not sure this is something I can even get done correctly.

I really want to make these things match the truck. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I want to say its $250, in additional parts, I've priced between stealership prices and aftermarket parts. Besides the FRP bumper... Some one has a parts list on here on what's required

Has anyone went with the vinyl wrap here and been happy with its longevity?

I would not spend that much for vinyl. Line-X Premium is the way to go. Powdercoat will fade and chip is not that durable for bumpers.

Would you recommend having the bumpers off the truck to Line x or just have the shop mask off areas?

They have to be removed. The entire bumper is encapsulated in the Line-X. Remove them yourself....they will charge labor to remove them.

I do like the idea of taking them off to Line-X but I’m torn between just replacing with factory resin/plastic after I went through the work of removing.

I guess at the end of the day would I like a metal Line-X bumper or plastic painted...hmmm

Someone here, I think look in the bumpers sticky on top, used what he called plasti-dip on his front bumper to
cover over the chrome. It looked really good. Don't recall where I saw that.

I’m really leaning heavy towards the Line-X option now. I’m hoping it’s a simple remove and reinstall process.

Unless others have done this and with regret and wish they did the FRP color match

Where in SoCal are you? I have a one piece bumper looking to unload dirt cheap that you can experiment with its MGM gray though

I went from one piece to the two piece design for high clearance off road style bumper.

I went with reszfab high clearance bumper which requires the top piece of the two piece factory Toyota bumper

If you use this, you can retouch it yourself:
    https://tcpglobal.com/collections/bedliner-aerosols/products/upo-4885

I would get at least two cans per bumper. You'll have to take the front bumper all the way off for the initial coating, and I would have it blasted so it's nice and rough and everything sticks. If you ever scratch it, you can just tape and plastic off the front, then respray.

Do you happen to have any photos of this product sprayed on in white. I’m not against doing this myself as Line x is running low on chemicals here and said it would be 2-3 weeks before they can get to me

I'll be doing the bottom couple of inches of my white Sienna with that shortly, then I'll have some photos.

    Stage 1 chrome delete finished.
    Badges gone!
Here’s the stuff I used besides spider wire braided fishing line 30lb. Went off without a hitch.

New color matched RW grill in the mail now.

All I gotta do is figure this bumper thing out!

I'm in the same boat. Post some pics of the truck without emblems if you don't mind. I'm debating debadging everything or plasti dipping the emblems.

White grill surround arriving in the next few days.

Bumpers are scheduled for the 13th at Line-X $600 (Going white as well) Wondering if I should just go with Raptor spray cans and do it myself. With those cans being almost $40 each how many you guys think I will need?

I will have 2 front grill emblems so prob one white and one black to see what I like best there.

The spray cans are overpriced and don't cover much. You're better off buying a spray kit.

Yes, the kit is great. I just did my three piece rear bumper with cans and it took three cans.

You think it’s best to buy a kit for each bumper as I will be spraying the inside as well?

Also I will need a quart of super white paint?

That raptor stuff is great. I did a truck bed a few years ago with it.

One kit did that bed and tailgate with some to spare.

Get these! This is what I did. Along with a white rock warrior grill from EBay. This rear bumper is very good quality and looks better than the factory paint job. Then had the front bumper wrapped because it was a cheap solution. Personally I would not like the textured look of line x on body panels especially with white. I live in the mountains and that would get dirty and you’d be able to see all the wrinkles with dirt lol. I like your truck! White and black really is the best color combo imo. All the new trd pros are just white and black. Too bad they cost 60k

Thanks! I did see that rear bumper and wished they had an easy solution for the front as well. I’m kinda in agreement with you on the textured look not sure I’m gonna like it. I did get with sparks for a complete parts list for the swap to resin/plastic up front but they have not yet gotten back to me. I did order this grill already. I found a great deal on these door handles color matched as well. When is it too much white haha

My suggestion is all together different.. I’m going to put a sequoia front bumper on my soon. There are used and aftermarket ones of those out there I like things to look factory but different so I’m not a fan of line-x etc. you can buy used corners and if you prep right, paint the chrome you have.

Made the appointment with Line-X for the 13th. I really hope the white holds up. I need this done so I can stop hyper focusing on it haha
